Making A Choice

If you had a decision to make and was struggling to make it, how would you decide? Would you keep listening to what others told you or would you go with your gut instinct and do what you wanted for a change, baring it mind it could hurt the people closest to you, but also save your sanity in the process….

Go with your gut!!!

Ally u need to be a bit more specific... my initial reaction would be to go with your gut however if its something that might impact on other’s lives I think you should consider how your choice will influence both you & them... at the end of the day you’ve got to live with your choices and the people closest to you! Our souls wants us to be happy AND others to be happy too (i believe it’s the soul’s purpose is to re-member with other’s) ... do a little thinking; i’m sure there’s a way for you to keep you and your loved ones happy! Best of luck, honey!! (You’re in my thoughts)

I forgot to say something... i think it’s also important to analyze why the people in question might have an issue with your gut’s choice... is it something to would benifit you at the cost of them... or is it because they are trying protect you from something....iuw try & establish their intentions.
*Me suggest some alone time for you, just collecting your thoughts & feelings without haste!*

Thanx..... makes sense... if only I could get my head around it... perhaps like PM said, sometime out required... to think want I want to do...

If it’s not an emergency, if there’s not a critical time factor, allot 15 minutes of privacy and use that time to write down everything about the problem that you can think of. Define the problem as precisely as you can, and list many alternative solutions (regardless of how crazy or impractical they might be). Spend the full 15 minutes, and write as much as you can about the situation.

Then, hide the paper in a drawer (or someplace) and don’t worry about the problem for a couple of days – make yourself find something else to occupy your mind, go play tennis or something, clean your house. After a couple of days – especially after sleeping a couple of nights – examine again what you have written, and there’s a great chance your mind will have either decided upon the best alternative to select, or thought of a completely new solution that you didn’t see before.

The human subconscious is a creative mechanism, a problem-solving mechanism that works constantly, and below the level of waking thought. Given the stimulation (making a list of all the factors you can think of) and the opportunity (relaxation... physical exercise, and a couple of nights sleep), the subconscious is fully capable of producing solutions that sometimes seem like miracles. And I bet a lot of songs are written like that, too.
