Phew... there was a guy I worked with who is like that: Tall and super thin. We used to stuff 3 candy bars down him to see if he’d gain weight... nope.
We despised our friend for that *lol*

I despise conversation of this nature, but here goes:
If you exercise heavily, especially long-distance running, be certain you ingest a lot of calcium. After you hit 35 years, take calcium supplements and increase the dosage as you grow older.
The thing is, if you’re not getting enough calcium from your diet, your body will leech it from wherever it can... such as the places where muscles connect to bones, like your heel spurs. If those connections deteriorate, severe pain will ensue. Calcium keeps all the structures intact, and you can exercise heartily until you are 100.

@Majdy: I used to work in a fitness centre (as sales consultant, not as a trainer, but my colleagues taught me a lot about losing and gaining weight). I’ve seen people who also wanted to gain weight and they were training with weights/dumbells. You won’t be a bodybuilder but you’ll be stronger and gain weight (muscle instead of fat > of course muscles are better than fat), most of them had a certain eating pattern. So, you might try going to a gym/fitness centre and ask what they can do to help you. Good luck!

Majdy: when I get home I’ll look through my magazines and see if I can find it. I remember it because a lot of people wrote in afterwards to thank them because most magazines write about weight loss diets, not how to gain weight. But a lot of people suffered from your problem, and like Cowboy said it can be bad if you get sick because you start losing weight until you’re at a dangerously thin level. I remember parts of the article, it was try to eat more often through the day - so instead of 3 meals a day, try to fit in a few extra meals. And try to eat healthy fats like nuts, and more protein - you might need to take a protein supplement like those protein milkshakes.
Actually I’m going to study fitness and personal training so maybe I’ll learn something there about weight gain! (And hopefully, more about weight loss!!)

I think I might get more calcium from special milk. so, far I only take vitamin C. And I do swimming twice per week. I am thinking about taking a fitness class, maybe it will help too... thanks everyone :)

Majdy then you should try to eat something with carbohydrates before you go to bed. If you eat carbohydrates before you sleep, they will turn straight to fat.

I wouldn’t mind either to gain some weight.
I can eat anything I want without gaining any weight, If I don’t eat enough I even loose weight.
Currently I am 75 kg and 1.97 m long.
But I am healthy, so it is not a huge problem.
I guess I burn the food I am eating very quickly.

hey, Santi. I hope you’re okay!
@ sparvoga : Yeah, I heard about the use of the carbohidrate, and actually it wasnt hard for me, because I live in indonesia and our main food is rice and it contains lots of carbohidrate. But since I start to live in healthy way, I started to eat less rice, but maybe I am doing the wrong thing? :D

you might want to try working out. I know this sounds like you would lose wieght....but muscle weighs more than fat!! Plus after working out your muscles need glucose (sugar) so you are tempted to eat more for dinner!
When I am running and working out I gain good weight because I am building muscle...which is healthy for your heart and makes you feel great in general! I don’t gain a lot of wieght...maybe like 5-8 pounds;)
I hope this helps some! However, I wouldn’t drink soda...try drinking chocolate milk...it almost has the same amout of caffeine!

You want to GAIN weight? *sigh* I wish I had your problem honey! Actually I read an article somewhere on how to gain weight in a healthy way, for people like you who are too thin. I’ll see if I can find it.
