Revenge of the Sith

I just saw the new Star Wars movie, anyone else see it? What do you think of it?
harriej said on May 20, 2005 21:49:
Maybe I am going to the cinema soon.
Can anyone tell if this movie is worthing visiting or that there are other movies running which are better?
LittleSpooky said on May 20, 2005 22:32:
Have you followed the Star Wars Saga at all (as in seen all the other movies?)
If so, complete it and see this one.
If not... Go see Robots (it’s FUNNY)
Vixzter said on May 21, 2005 09:12:
No point in seeing it if you haven’t see 4 and 5 possibly 6.
Going tonight for the 2nd time am I, see more I will using the force.
Ewan McGregor :)....... hellooooooooo! ;)
Anarem said on May 21, 2005 15:38:
A co-worker and I took the day off work to go see it. I didn’t like the first two movies, but in this one, you could see that Lucas tried to make people happy... and he succeeded!
MiracleMan said on May 21, 2005 17:03:
Saw it yesterday. Much better than Episodes I & II, still laughable in many spots, better story though, slightly better acting. The effects are all there are to these first three episodes, and Sith is the only one I’d consider seeing a second time. I wasn’t as disappointed as the last one, after which I had vowed NEVER to see anything else George Lucas “directed” in the future. (Three years and curiousty got the better of me. . .)
All that aside, if you are a fan, you probably will enjoy it, if for nothing other than it ties up everything.
Hitchhiker’s Guide was better—intentionally funny, and Spooky was right, Robots is a lot of fun and well worth the time.
So see it if you want, you’d know better if you’ll like it based on how you feel about the other films.
coyboyusa said on May 22, 2005 12:58:
so i was the only one that found robots to be incredibly boring?
Jud (moderator) said on May 22, 2005 15:41:
waiting for Thomas to review it ;)
And will see it in Spain in a week about :)
Last film I saw on cinema was Kingdom of heaven, I am considering seeing it again in Spain too, it’s rather bloody but very well done and I love Liam (even though he’s not long in it).
on_a_mission said on May 22, 2005 15:59:
@vix, haven’t seen you around in a while!
On starwars, never liked it, but I heard the new one is pretty good.
per_mson said on May 22, 2005 18:09:
Hmmm, I think I do like Judith and wait for Thomas what he has to say about it. I don’t trust mr Lucas anymore with all his special effects, which the last (part 2) film proved to have WAY too much of. There was no story left in my opinion.
So for the moment it is Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy I’m looking the most forward to (which haven’t had premier in Austria yet. And when it has it should also be sent in English, cause I really, really supermuch refuse to see a film dubbed to German... YUK!!)
LittleSpooky said on May 22, 2005 18:11:
Seen Ep III.
Liked it... will probably seeing it again soon.
Vixzter said on May 22, 2005 20:12:
da da da da di da da di da........
hum that to darth vaders tune >;-)
coyboyusa said on May 24, 2005 08:16:
the movie was utterly amazing the dialouge sucked alot and some scenes seemed unnecessary, but it made empire strikes back look like a joke this is gonna be the one to own on dvd totally amazing heart wrenching
Sparvogamarie said on May 24, 2005 11:04:
I agree with Per_mson, I wasn’t so crazy about the computer effects and the storyline of Episiode 1 was a bit thin. But this last one was fantastic I thought, except for one major plot hole - Padme dies at childbirth, yet Princess Leia remembers her in Return of the Jedi! Really stupid in my opinion. Still it was a cool movie if you ignore that.
Sparvogamarie said on May 24, 2005 16:31:
That part wasn’t half as cool as it is on the promo. Here in Sweden they have a billboard that changes Anakin into Darth then says Lord Vader Riiiiiise. People just stand in front of it and stare....not me...oh who am I kidding....
Oldag75 said on May 24, 2005 17:18:
The original Star Wars plan was nine movies – the three that were initially released, then the three prequels, and then three more serving as episodes VII - IX. Lucas joked at the time that the original stars (Hamill, Fisher, Ford) would be allowed to portray their same characters in episodes VII - IX if they were old enough by the time filming was to take place. Lucas has now said there will not be three more films.
Does anyone believe that? There’s so much money involved with Star Wars, I bet those last three films eventually get made. Not by Lucas, most likely, but he will sell the franchise rights to someone else. $tar War$.
Vixzter said on May 24, 2005 17:36:
spar: the trailer was much better than the bit in the film i agree
lord vader......riiiiiiiiise >;-)
quality!
oldag: i dont care how many more star wars films get made or not made i will still go and see them :P
Sparvogamarie said on May 24, 2005 17:57:
Hell yeah me too, I love my Star Wars! I’d looooooooooooove a new trilogy with the original actors, don’t know if Harrison Ford would go for it but dump a truckful of money on his door step and he’ll be running back for more.
Vixzter said on May 24, 2005 19:28:
woo hoo, got a crappy quality download :D
help it will until cinema i can go to go again >;)
coyboyusa said on May 24, 2005 22:48:
i think leia remmebers her because padme was trained for a while as a jedi and she coudl sense her through the force as an infant. it would be the only way to explain how she knew how to fight so well i mean she was just a politician wasnt she, its great that they tie up so many loose ends
Sparvogamarie said on May 25, 2005 07:11:
LOL cowboy have you been visiting the SW forum? Cos that’s exactly what they say too. But I think it’s kinda silly since Luke asks “Do you remember your real mother”, and if Leia remembers her birth, surely Luke can too since he’s stronger in the force.
LittleSpooky said on May 25, 2005 07:33:
From what I understand... anything beyond RotJ will be something on television, rather than cinema
Sparvogamarie said on May 25, 2005 10:01:
Yeah I read that there’s a TV show coming. That will rock!
Vixzter said on May 25, 2005 10:43:
i’m seriously loving the bit at the start where theyre trying to land general grevious’s ship and it falls appart .....anakin goes.... ’ i think we lost something’
mmmm yea like half a ship LOL
also....i think i spotted the millenium falcon!, although it could just possibly be a corellian freighter that looks like it.
maybe i should get a life, but i’m quite happy in my own little star wars universe.
Watercolours said on May 25, 2005 12:29:
Saw it yesterday and loved it. Think i might go again over the weekend.
Hopefully in another 20 years or so George Lucas will decide to do episode 7 and more.
Vixzter said on May 25, 2005 13:59:
hopefuly he wont wait 20 years! ;-)
seriously doubt that he will make any more, although wouldnt rule out someone else making them (or attempting to)
Sparvogamarie said on May 25, 2005 14:03:
Vix: it was confirmed that it was the Millenium Falcon, so you spotted correctly.
Oh I’m proving myself to be quite the sad person knowing all this about Star Wars. Lucky nobody here knows about my collection of SW figures....
coyboyusa said on May 25, 2005 15:05:
wow vix is a star wars geek to? lol just kidding, i truly think this is the best sci fi movie in some time its a shame its going to tv but if they cover the entire clone wars on tv and persue the stories of individual jedi i would totally love there there so much more to the story out in books
Jud (moderator) said on May 25, 2005 18:14:
There will be 3 more episodes.. as sure as there will be another Roxette Greatest Hits! ;)
At least here we all know the end so there are no spoilers. It’s like going to see The Lord of the Rings, those who have read the books let’s say more than once (ehem) knew what was to be seen but still.. enjoyed it - at least I did.
But it would be rather stupid of Lucas to make such mistakes.. I mean.. he wrote the stuff, it’s like his child, sure he knows the stuff by heart like many star wars fans ;)
But well, people on the films never lock their cars so what do you expect ;)
Btw, Lucas is also supposed to appear in the film, saw him?
Vixzter said on May 25, 2005 18:15:
i’m a semi to 3/4’s geek i would say ;)
seen all the films millions of times over, know the scripts read the books in and around the films, owned an x-wing a tie fighter and a imperial scout bike but i have never ever ever dressed up! ;) now thats just geeky! ;)
Jud (moderator) said on May 25, 2005 18:36:
LOL one of those laser things would be useful sometimes “fzzzzzup” ;)
tevensso (moderator) said on May 26, 2005 17:08:
I liked it! It’s by far the best of the three new movies. Granted, there are some annoying creatures and happenings in this as well, but no Jar-Jar or anything like “it”. I give this a 4 out of 5 for now. There’s only one question: how can Leia remember her mother, when they never met?
Oldag75 said on May 26, 2005 21:43:
I saw Episode III today. It was much better than I and II, and had some sad plot points (such as the emperor lying to Anakin about the death of Padme). I wish in retrospect that I could see the entire series for the first time in the order of the story, so I would not know what’s to happen next.
At lease we now know, from seeing the assembly of Darth Vader with that big black helmet and so forth, what they did with all the spare parts from the Terminator films.
Natalie Portman is extremely attractive. Let’s hope her young mind doesn’t get seduced by the dark side of Hollywood... that process where they take successful stars and suck out their brains, so that they start expressing egregiously stupid political opinions.
Vixzter said on May 26, 2005 23:21:
it was suposed to be better than I & II this is the episode where everything happens, where everything makes sense
bloody marvelous in my opinion.......but that opinon right now is drunk LOL ;-) its took me 15mins to write this correctly ;-)
i think i need sleep now
harriej said on May 31, 2005 18:58:
Saw the movie last weekend and it was a nice one to watch.
To everybody who is not sure if he/she should watch it: It is worth it, but it is handy if you first see part 1 and 2, to know a bit about the story.
Santi said on May 31, 2005 19:06:
I saw them both but I forgot what they were about! :D I guess Star Wars for me is just one big mess... but I like R2-D2, he’s the best :P
Jud (moderator) said on May 31, 2005 23:09:
erh... so now I saw it and honestly, what a deception. In some parts I was sitting there thinking “what’s this crap”. What the hell were those stupid dialogs between Padmé and Anakin? “oh my love” “oh how beautiful you are”.. for a moment I thought I was watching some stupid teenager romantic film.. The same with the Sithius, ... too typical, his words and his laughing.. it was like too much and obvious.. It reminded me of the Gargamel guy in the Smurfs!
On the other hand, effects were top. It was also exciting to see the birth of Darth Vader (with the mask and all)
6 out of 10 :)
Sparvogamarie said on June 1, 2005 13:51:
Hey did someone change the title of this topic? Anyway I’m having lots of fun on the Star Wars forum, much better than here where there’s only like 5 topics a day being posted on! (And no hideous colour scheme heheh)
Jud (moderator) said on June 1, 2005 14:37:
hej, Yoda looked scary when he got angry! :P Sometimes I had the feeling he was training to be the next Charlie’s Angel though ;)
And see, it is Per’s fault why there’s no recent events to discuss about, this forum is calm and there are few interesting topics. If he’d release an album, we’d had plenty to talk about.. ts ts ts.. *rolls eyes*
Emil__BG said on June 1, 2005 17:33:
I agree with Thomas.
It’s by far the best of the three new movies.
I watched on 20 may first 2 on dvd ,then new one, then on 21 may the old 3 movies ... ;-)))
There are more than 1 discrepancy .That’s bad ..but.. i guess it’s impossible to be 100 % correct..
coyboyusa said on June 17, 2005 13:41:
its offcial he has announce a fully cgi animated series fort next year that will follow thw clone wars, and then in 2008? a tv series that will cover the time between epi 3 and a new hope this is gonna rule!
James_Earp said on June 17, 2005 14:00:
It was a great movie and a great end for the “new” Star wars triology. Even Hayden was good in this movie.
Sparvogamarie said on June 18, 2005 09:05:
Tev: You’re right with the discrepancy that Leia remembers her mother. As soon as I saw that scene I was like “WHAT??? George have you even watched your 3 original movies???” On the Star Wars forum they’re arguing that you can remember things with the force. Pffff, that’s just stupid.
coyboyusa said on June 20, 2005 23:56:
actually padme was alive long enough to see leia and vice versa so let say hypothetically she also has some element of the force with her that she could indeed recall seeing her mother, its a stretch but a definate possibility, and it woudl also explain why both padme and leia have an amazing ability in combat
Vixzter said on June 21, 2005 06:41:
i think everyone should go read the new jedi order series, bloody fantastic, just don’t start almost at the end like i did otherwise it kinda ruins it ;-)
Vixzter said on June 22, 2005 19:40:
anyways....on about inaccuracies....
in ROTJ same scene that we’re on about where Leia says she remembered her mother.....well Luke says he had no memory of his mother blah blah blah (not that i know the script or anything *laughs*)
well he was first out so go figure that! and stronger in the force so its all rubbish really, mr lucas sort your life out! ;)
coyboyusa said on June 26, 2005 19:19:
lol this is why he didnt put the original versions of the original films on dvd cause crazy fans nit pick at ever retarded nuasnce
Vixzter said on June 26, 2005 19:29:
i wish we could have the original originals on dvd, just cleaned up and not batserdized like the special editions ;)
Vixzter said on June 29, 2005 16:28:
woo hoo i just got the return of the jedi soundtrack :D unfortunately its not the original original which i used to have on 12” record its the crap special edition version with that crappy song played in Jabba’s palace
coyboyusa said on June 29, 2005 16:39:
lol vix i agreee for those of use that rember the magic of the original the bastardized version are really jarring. the sith soundtrack is amazing on a good sound system
Vixzter said on June 29, 2005 18:55:
yea had that on in my car, sounds awesome played at loud volume! :) saying that, they all sound awesome played at loud volume, it makes the whole star wars experience for me
tevensso (moderator) said on June 30, 2005 06:37:
Vix, I have the original CD, which tracks are you looking for? Jabba’s Palace and Ewok Celebration maybe?
Vixzter said on June 30, 2005 11:27:
yea that would be the ones! :-) any chance u could mp3 and mail em to me? i will be eternaly greatful.
that original ewok celebration was soooo much better than the special edition rubbish ;-) and as for what they did in jabba’s palace, i’m not even gonna go down that route, they destroyed sni snootles!!! and put that hideous looking thing singing with her.....its all wrong !! ;-)
maybe i should get a life! >;-)
Vixzter said on June 30, 2005 17:16:
LOL i just found the Imperial March by Metallica and Rage Agaisnt The Machine ;)
coyboyusa said on June 30, 2005 21:00:
lol vix :) maybe george lucas is sleeping with tom cruise the same spielberg is cause it seems they both get a kick out of bastardizing sci fi classics, war of the worlds, while a descent movie totally terds on the original
Vixzter said on July 1, 2005 06:21:

However, next year expect to see new weekly series of:
30 minutes - Computer animated adventures.
60 minutes - Live action adventures.
Great times if you’re a SW fan.
