Kylie Ill?

I just heard on the new that Kylie is ungoing treatment for Breast Cancer.....

I’m not a big fan, but still it’s sad news for her and also her fans, hope you make a speedy and quick recovery... :)

Yes, I just heard the news on the radio too. She had to cancel her Australien Tour. Quite sad news for her and her fans. Am a big fan of her as a person, not so much the music. So this is quite shocking news.

I guess we kind of know what Kylie’s fans are going through as well with this, cause we have been there with Marie.... :(

Its all over the news here in Australia...hope she will be ok.

Reminds me of when we found out Marie had cancer...

I hope Kylie will do just as well as Marie has!! And yea, one of the first things I said when I heard the news was that I knew exacly how the die-hard Kylie fans feels..after what happened to Marie.
And Kyle is such a sweetheart, I won a meeting with her 3 years ago.

I just heard this news just now after coming back from work. I cant believe it, especially after seeing her brilliant show in March. I am a huge Kylie fan, almost as much as i am a roxette fan....its unbelieveable that this has now happened to both my favourite singers. I also feel sorry for the australian and asian fans, who will now miss out on the tour....though in true kylie hardworking style, the tour has been postponed, not cancelled. I really do wish her well and hope the treatment is successful. I also hope she will be left in peace by the media as she is now in Melbourne with her family and boyfriend

yeah, sigh, Marie, Melissa, Kylie.. :( :/

But I hope this also has a positive thing (if anything can be positive about cancer), some kind of influence to her female fans who might realise that cancer can reach anyone.. and realise that they have to go and do their regular checkings as you should! Grab the phone and make an appointment with your doctor, an early diagnosis is the only way.

Now we have to pray.

i was really shocked when i heard the news on tv this morning, really did shock me , so so sad. :-((((

Really?
Let’s hope she will recover soon.

I just saw the front cover of Expressen, it said “Kylie broke down when she got the news of her breast cancer”. I know how Expressen love to make up stories that people have cancer when they don’t, but I just came to check online and sadly it’s true. I’ve never been a huge fan of her, but it’s always horrible when someone gets cancer and obviously as Roxette fans we are pretty sensitive about it. I hope she’ll be ok.

Jud: you forgot Anastacia! I saw her on TV 2 days ago talking about her breast cancer, and I really admire the way she handled it. She’s a strong woman. Like you said, one positive thing is famous women can bring attention to this disease. Hopefully Kylie can deal with her illness as well as Anastacia did because she can inspire a lot of people.

I’m not a fan of Kylie by any stretch of the imagination but this is especially sad considering a girl I went to school with died from breast cancer a couple of weeks ago, age 28. Just goes to show, it can happen to anyone.

Let’s hope she will recover soon.

I wish her a full recovery, she must be strong woman like Marie.

I found this online:

KYLIE GOOD NEWS UPDATE!

“On Saturday, May 21, Kylie’s surgeon released a statement confirming that the operation she had performed on Kylie on Friday night had been successful.
The surgeon went on to note that she was confident that the cancer had been caught in time and that Kylie is now on the road to complete recovery.
Kylie is currently resting after the operation - she has friends and family around her, and her spirits are high.
Kylie would again like to thank all who have expressed their love and concern for her. Your support has certainly helped her through a tough time.”

I’m not a fan of Kylie but I thought it was really cool that she allowed this update on her health and she gave thanks to her fans. I wish all sick celebrities were like her *sighs*

Marie gave thanks to us too.

an update from Kylie.....

I would just like to take a moment to say that above and beyond all your good wishes that keep flowing in and lifting my spirits I was delighted to learn that some good things have come of all this.

I’ve been informed that since my diagnosis thousands of women have become more aware than ever of the risk of breast cancer. By way of example, calls to BreastScreen Victoria from concerned women have almost doubled. Being “breast aware” plays a major role in early detection so I was especially pleased to hear that younger women in particular are being more proactive with breast examination and talking to their doctors.

I know that many of my fans have purchased the pink bracelets or pink ribbons and have made donations towards breast cancer support and research, and even cashing in Showgirl concert tickets as a donation, and I thank you. I have been overwhelmed by your show of generosity and understanding. Just what the doctor(s) ordered.

As for me I am getting through this one step at a time and your messages of love and support have been greatly appreciated.

Please don’t believe everything you have read as rumours of my condition and treatments are rife and generally incorrect. Unfortunately it still seems that the truth doesn’t get in the way of a story... the repainting of my hospital room pink ... imported English body guards ... more imagined boyfriends ... diverted ambulances ... an “entire hospital wing” for “my entourage” and other equally ridiculous stories.

Rest assured I am being well looked after, though it will be a long road ahead. I will be receiving future treatment on my return to Europe.

In the meantime love to you all, as always.

Kylie

thats the media for ya . sad really.

double post

As I said, I’ve never been a fan of her (oh ok I had a few posters of her when I was 8) but I have a new respect for Kylie. It’s really cool of her to write this big message to her fans so soon after her illness. I wish her the best.
