Hello everyone!
Today i bought a ticket from Sweden to Sydney. I´m gonna travel to Australia with a friend in august. We´re planning to stay for about four months in Australia. And after that travel to Auckland, and stay there about four months.
So, do you guys have any advices? Where to live in Sydney and Auckland? (as cheap as possible:)) Where we can work and so on. And what we should see when we´re doown under!
I´m 20 years old, and my friend, she´s 19.
Any sort of help is very appreciated. Thaks!

When I was in Sydney I stayed at the Harbour City Hotel. It’s a hostel quite close to the city center and it’s nothing special, but not too expensive. http://www.harbourcityhotel.com/
To see in Sydney...well there’s lots of obvious things like the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. There’s lots of little streets to explore, and take the ferry to Manly Beach, it’s gorgeous!

I happened to come across a potentially useful article in a magazine today. It was about a website you can visit and get in touch with people who are willing to let foreigners stay at their place for varying lengths of time. Possibly worth while checking out. Hope it’s helpful:
www.couchsurfing.com
There were two other similar sites mentioned also:
www.servas.org and www.hospitalityclub.org
