Why have ROX never collaborated w/ another artist?
eBay said on January 25, 2005 12:23:
This is what I am wondering about. I know they have written ’You don’t understand me’ with Desmond Child, songwriter that has written great songs for the likes of Bon Jovi etc. I am more talking about other Singers etc.
How come this never seemed to be in their interest? This is quite a common thing to do in the music business and always works quite well for the artists that are involved.
Any Ideas?

they made a song with eva dahlgren and ratata in the late 80ies...
maybe they just don’t want to....

@daniel_alv
Wasn’t that just something they did because they did some concerts together? I was wondering about something that they actually released...?

at the time they recorded i want you lets be honest, they were young an inexperienced at working with other artists and the resulkts were mixed...great track but per and marie were overshadowed by 2 traditionally good vocalists. ANd, as we have seen with peopel who cover roxette’s material, it never has quite the same soul unless per and marie perform it.

I think that this kind of collaboration works better when it’s a duet (and now I start to think about Marie and Morten Harket singing together, again...). Three voices in a song could sound confusing, it’s harder to feel the real emotions that the singers want to transmit. That’s my opinion and perhaps the reason for Roxette never making a trio (or quartet, whatever...)

Okay, yes they have done things with other artists before, but I was more aiming at when Roxette were a well established artist themselves.. after they had their international breakthrough. Coz lets face it, any collaboration they had before their breakthrough, didn’t really help them to become bigger or have a huge hit internationally.
coyboyusa said on January 26, 2005 17:53:
ebay none of the collaborations that have done as roxette or solol has ever really boosted their careers they are magic enough for eahc other :)

Maybe I’m selfish but I wouldn’t like to see Roxette collaborating with other artists, unless it’s awards show, like MTV Awards, or some Charity concert. Something of that kind.

aur i agreee theres something unique about per and marie that when u mix them in with other epopel it just never works
