Holidays 2005

So anyone got any good plans for 2005 yet, I have a few up my sleeve... I always like to know where people will take there holidays!

Nordkapp this year. :D Looking very much forward to it..

cornwall with my family, amybe again after with friends and hopefully sweden if im lucky

Possibly Denver, Colorado for the Starfest convention in April, November will be spent in Wendover getting hammered

we’d like to go to Sweden this year for some 10 days or so and combine visiting new cities with Eva’s tour. (we’d like to go to Sweden anyway - the tour is an excuse to move around ;))

Well for me Iceland in April for a few days (something different) and Sweden in December! Hopefully also a couple of short breaks to Paris and Amsterdam!

We only have about 341 shopping days until $mas. Better hop to it, and get those decorations going.

sweden a coupla times and i maybe wanna go to holland too sometime

Wednesday I go on a short holiday to Stockholm with 2 friends.

Was wondering any TDR people ever been to Toronto.... If so what did you think of it? Same goes for Montreal?

I am from Indonesia and will move to California very soon. I wont have a job for a while there, so I will consider that as holiday :)

Norway if the weather stay good! :-))

In July I will go to Germany (Cologne) to visit Queen + Paul Rodgers concert.
In August I will visit Halmstad and Tylosand.
In September I will spend 10 days in Spain (Peniscola or Salou).

Hey Ally! Toronto sucks, come to Montréal, I’ll show you around. Just kidding! Toronto is way cool, with some great architecture.
It really depends on what kind of vacation you are looking for. If you want to have a good time, I’d recommend you to come to Montréal as nothing beats the summer in this great city. It’s more relaxed, there are many festivals (the Jazzfest is worth visiting), people know how to have a good time and still there’s lots to see!
Let me know if you need more info!

@ aprilsnow - did not make it to Iceland this year.... **sad**

@ Stillfar... thanx for the advice! It will be December if and when I come...

The trip I have planned is for Toronto, Montreal and NYC... kind of planned 9 day tour... nothing is booked yet but Toronto is a place I have fancied for years, but was not sure what Montreal had to offer...

came off my hols last week was up in northumbleland , was so so lovely on the east coast , weather was lovely with a nice cool breeze! got burnt with spf 30 on ! but im fair skin lol .

I’d visit Toronto during the week and Montréal during the weekend. Toronto is cool to look at (although it’s extremely boring at night) while Montréal has so much more culture. Montréal is very rich in its diversity. You would have a great time eating out, checking out the wonderful cabarets and theatres; you’ll be disliked for speaking English (but forgiven because of your accent)…it’s a wonderful city and tourists love it! However, there aren’t that many tourists in December. I hope you don’t mind the cold!

Sounds like me, snap I’d burn no matter what I’d shove on.... including factor 45! I don’t tan, I just ruddy burn... so have learnt now to stay a nice pasty white colour... I am sure one day it will come back in fashion...

@ Stillfar... No I love the cold... I am a winter person.... hate heat, want wind, snow, ice and cold! :)

Well... nothing’s gone the way I thought it would.

ally77 - my sister had her daughters fact 50 for babys on and she still managed to burn her shoulders walking , who would if thought lol. But i never go brown me always reddy colour and stays like that until it goes normal again.

I think its a huge shame they is this stigma about being ’white’ cos lets face it some people cant help it lol. i cant wait for it to go out of fashion also 100% agree. i have to sit under umberllas in summer and have high spf and long sleeves on the bus ! I got off bus on way home from collage last year and my mum said what have i been doing , half my face was red as a cherry and so was my arm from the bus ride ! i looked like burk ! My sisters trys tanning cream everything , but poor lass looks a fool lol, goes all patchy and doesnt match her colouring at all .

I’m off to the Isle of Wight, the Isle of Purbeck then the Isle of Portland for my summer hols. I went to Toronto in 2000: very nice. Cosmopolitan and high rise yet spacious and chilled out. Enjoy! All the best, Rich ;-)

Those that sun worship, and esp those that spent so much time on sunbeds.. are just asking for trouble...

End of July off to Denamrk for a few days (some car club thing that bf is involved with, i’m going for the beer...mmmmm Carlsberg!)

end of september 2 weeks in the Dominican Republic all inclusive, hotel has a swim up bar! :D

Well, I’m right now in my “vacation” -> Studying a course in fjord oceanography near Bergen. After it I’ll go to Flåm, for a bit of hiking. So my vacation is in the most beautiful country in Europe, Norway :)

A dozen days in the beautifullest mountains in the end of July, it’s 100% - already booked :D

So Vix, you won’t be leaving the pool on your holiday! lol :)

girl7twenty7, where you going ?! i wanna go there :-( sounds lovely

@ally77: nope LOL ;-) swim up baaaaaar >;-) might possibly drown on my way back to the edge O_O best take my arm bands and life vest ;-)

or... tie a rope to the barman to pull you in when you need a refill... ;)

good idea

@rox-kuryliw I even don’t need to go somewhere abroad - it’s in Ukraine: the Carpathian mountains :) You’re welcome! ;)

I was looking at holiday in the Italian Mountains for next year and also Slovenia... looks so nice... and kind of hidden away from everywhere...

Back to Sweden in Decemeber! I just booked my flight for Stockholm! ;)

I totally missed this thread...

In June, visited the South of England (on my own) and toured Cornwall and Wales with an organized bus tour (young folks). Absolutely fabulous, totally stunning and definitely recommendable.

@Ally: I second the stories about Toronto and Montréal. Québec City is definitely worth a visit, too. And Niagara Falls, of course. (The squirrels there are HUGE and almost tame since they beg for food.)
