I still remember my grandparents house in the wintertime: my grandmother stood up early to start the fire. It was icy cold in the morning. *brrr* But the first thing she had to do was to remove the old ashes. And it didn’t heat the room within a few minutes! And never forget to keep the fire burning. *aargh*
Oh, I forgot to mention the toilet outside the house next to the dunghill. ;-)
