Is there someone who....

has already heard Marie’s new single on the radio?
Just curious to know how much airplay it gets :-)

Here in Poland, we propably won’t hear it on the radio. As far as I know the division of Marie’s record label didn’t even make a decision to sell it in my country.
Well as usually I will have to buy it on-line. ;-(

I live really close to Stockholm so I’ve been listening to all the stations hoping to hear Marie, and so far I’ve only heard a couple of her old songs. Yesterday I was listening to the radio all afternoon flicking the stations to hear 2nd chance, and you know what? I seriously heard 9 Per and GT songs in that time, and nothing from Marie. Her new stuff is making news on TV and the newspapers, but the radio seems to be ignoring her so far!!!

Maybe it is because the song is really really bad... Who is to say? It definitely does not fit well into what today’s radiostations choose to play.
Sparvogamarie said on September 29, 2004 19:42:
Oooh Tjej you’re gonna get yourself in trouble if you say things like that! But I agree it’s not a radio friendly song. I can’t imagine hearing that alongside Eminem and Anastacia

@Sparvogamarie: Do you think it help to live close to Sthlm to be able to hear Marie? Maybe the volume is louder there since the state owned radio is mostly sent from there.... hmmm ;))
But that you heard Per and GT more often is maybe not so strange. Have a look at the sales lists and think of the fact that GT was something really big in Sweden this passed summer. Marie’s single is not even released yet, so have some patience, cuz I’m sure they will broadcast it in Sthlm as well some day. ;-)
I also agree with “tjej” that the song suck, but I still think it will be played quite often on the radio.

maybe its because the song is really bad? by who’s standards exactly? I am not attacking you I am just curious, so it isn’t rap or that annoying jos stone, who cares, I wonder tho if alot of stations outside of sweden are holding back due to the reception they had with pers solo work?>

permson: I appreciate the sarcasm, I really do. No the stations are not louder here, gosh you’re so funny I’m falling off my chair.
By saying I live close to Sthlm I was just explaining to others who don’t know where I live that I’m living near Sthlm as opposed to Göteborg or somewhere else - and other towns have their own radio stations eg Radio Halland etc, which I do not get where I live.
Still haven’t heard the song on radio btw, but someone told me SR played it yesterday.

@sparvogamarie: Well, I was just kidding!! ;-)
Try to listen to P4. My father said they played it there at least twice a day! P3 is useless anyway, cause they only play hip-hop crap...

@per_mson: Your father is right ;) I’m listening 2:nd Chance right now on P4. I don’t know much about each radio style (I only listen to SvR via internet from time to time, just to practice my Swedish), so your suggestion was a great help. Thank you!
m-cvk said on September 30, 2004 22:23:
Great! Could you please give me the link to listen to P4 through the i-net?
Mary said on September 30, 2004 22:39:
I dunno the direct link from the radio station’s site but try the following:
http://www.mikesradioworld.com/eu_se.html
Find Sveriges Radio P4 in the list and there are three ways to listen to it - either a Real Media stream or 32 and 96 kbps as Windows Media stream.
Enjoy!

@m-cvk: Most (all?) swedish radio stations can be listened from here: http://www.sr.se/ (Sveriges Radio). You’ll see in the middle of the page an orange portable radio. Clicking on “WEBBRADIO” on it will show you a list with all the links.

Thankx. Unfortunately, Lithuanian radio stations didn’t have the premier of 2:ND CHANCE. They had two premiers of Swedish acts this week, but not MARIE.
