Live Roxette gigs on Christmas?

In www.haveaniceday.nu’s Swedish “Ask Per” section, there is also an interesting question concerning Roxette’s touring. Per answers that they are going to start recording a new album early next year, so there won’t be time for a tour now. However, according to Per, there may some surprise gigs here and there on Christmas. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!
Gyllene Tider 20th anniversary boxset in 2000

According to Per’s message to the Swedish “Ask Per” section at www.haveaniceday.nu, there will be a special Gyllene Tider boxset released in February-March 2000. The boxset will contain “a lot of goodies from the vault”. Per also says there will be a cook book by Micke Syd “with smell of sauce”, but I think that shouldn’t be taken too seriously.
“Salvation” is the next single

The next single release from “Have A Nice Day” will be “Salvation”, just as expected. The video will be shot at the beginning of October. Further details will follow.
Discography book to be released in November

The publisher of Roxette discography book has announced that the book is due to be out on November 15, 1999. The book will be reviewed in TDR as soon as it’s out of the press!
False rumours on the Net

EMI has put online an official statement about some rumours that have been going around on the Internet:
This message is to inform everyone that there is NO TRUTH WHATSOEVER to the rumour that Roxette is to perform in Tylösand, Sweden on New Years Eve 1999. Also, Roxette does not have a tour planned. EMI Sweden
Another rumour has it that Roxette’s next album will be called “Flowers of the Ocean”. This, of course, is not officially confirmed.
Publisher looking for advertisers to discography book

Premium Publishing, the publisher of the forthcoming discography book by Robert Thorselius, “The Look for Roxette”, is looking for advertisers to the book. In their letter they say “’The Look for Roxette’ contains an advert section in which you are invited to promote your business. The discography contains all the solo releases by Per and Marie, all the releases of groups they have been members in, as well as all the world wide releases by Roxette. In the price guide section every release has been given a value in a scale from 1 to 10 depending how hard it is to find each item. The book will be out next month and it will be bound in a “beautiful laminated G5 size cover”. The book contains approximately 300 pages.
Uncensored Roxette videos at festival

The Director’s Cut versions of Jonas Åkerlund’s production will be shown at Oulu Music Video Festical, in Northern Finland this weekend. The videos are from the artists Metallica, Madonna, The Cardigans, Prodigy, Jamiroquai, Roxette and more. The screening includes also a 15-minute short film, “Turn the Page”, directed by Åkerlund.

Familiar song title as company slogan

Finland-based heart rate monitor manufacturer Polar has adopted “Listen to your heart” as their new slogan. However, Roxette’s song with the same title isn’t used in their advertisements, as far as I know.
“Crashing guitars will be back”

Official Roxette Fanclub had an opportunity to talk with Marie and Per after they had appeared on German TV show. At the moment it seems that there won’t be HaveANiceTour. “It would be too far from the album release”, Marie and Per say. However, they are already planning the next Roxette album and revealed that “the crashing guitars might be brought in use again for some songs”.
German fans will be delighted as Roxette will be back in Germany in mid-August!
