What do you think of MAZARIN now?

Hi!
Time goes by, first euphoria disappeared. Now we can appreciate this album more or less soberly :)

I think Mazarin is one of the best Per’s albums, with TWATG. Very positive and mature. Written by the man who got from life maybe everything he wanted and now can do things the way he wants. Bravo, Per!

I still listening to it and my favourite songs by now are:
1. Om Du Bara Vill & Varmt Igen (eduard33, I’m with you :)
2. Gungar & HKAK
3. Födelsedag & Tycker Om När Du Tar På Mig

Mazarin is one of the best albums - I think.
I will still love it in 20 years - no question.

Mazarin??? Mazarin = Finn 5 fel! (well, some of the songs sounds a bit like Mazarin mixed with Farfisa.

It’s still my most played album.

I think Mazarin is really special... songs written over several years recorded in a natural way... it was quite unexpected... the release party was incredible and the tour was also great... Mazarin was 2003 for me and I have great memories of my times when listening to the music and of my 2 visits to Sweden’s west coast... the DVD is a lovely reminder of the Mazarin phenomenon... I think Mazarin is a long term winner and will be one of my favourite albums for years to come... Rich

*breaks the chain*

I have never really ’enjoyed’ this album as I have with much of Gessle’s other work. maybe because it’s written in a language I don’t understand. probably also because I wasn’t on tour last year either. It’s not really special for me. there are a few good tunes in it, spegelboll being one of them, but it doesn’t really make me feel anything. with rox material I have things and memories that are attached to it, but I dont really have that with this. Maybe in a few years time when I come back to it, there may be memories with it, but my life hasn’t changed enough for me to appreciate this right now.

Mazarin was, is and will always be one of the best albums I have ever heard. I enjoyed this album from the very beginning and I hope that, if Roxette will exist any longer, Per and Marie will change their way of producing to the natural way Mazarin was recorded.

FFF is a poor copy of Mazarin - it’s a pity. I miss the GT sound. But - ok, that’s not the topic :-)

still very good gessle mussic

He He Hej

I think it is the BEST album EVER... it´s really special to me... in fact, I played HKAK on my stereo while my daughter was borning ! And this makes this album even more special to me.

LOVE IT... I doubt that any album will top it !
All the best

PS: I listen to it EVERY DAY for a year !! :)

Wow, Mazarin for childbirth, what can I say?!... Great!! Rich

girl7twenty7: now I know I’m not the only who has got full album release :)

Mazarin together with TWATG they’re the best Gessle’s work ever, straight from his heart, melodic, full of energy, enthusiasm and unique ideas. Such masterpieces are born once in a very long time and should be written into the music art history. I must say that they’re both uncomparable to F5F which was recorded under the GT’s jubilee pressure... A few good songs cannot make good whole album.

Det blev varmt igen
jag hade blivit van vid kappan
allt blev ljust igen...

Mazarin is a great great album!!
Maybe the best Per solo work

I still have one burning question what it is MAZARIN!?

Mazarin rocks!

It’s my most played album either!!

Found my cassette today and just love this album.

Played it yesterday and it still is a good album!

Played the DVD today, wanted to get in the concert mood!

No other album ever made me as happy as Mazarin.
It’s the best album I own, it’s a perfect album by the best songwriter ever :-)

“Sakta Mina Steg” will always be something special to me, it kind of supported me on a day, that I was very afraid of for a long time.
When this turned out to be a success, I couldn’t get

“Födelsedag” off my head, and when I turned 28 this year, I played Födelsedag, and it was the first time since many years that I didn’t cry on my birthday. It was a very happy birthday for the first time since long.

“Om du bara vill” is maybe the most beautiful song PER GESSLE ever wrote.
“Gungar” makes me dream of summer...
“För Bra För Att Vara Sant” and “Varmt Igen” contain so much damn good musical ideas...

I think I like all songs except the singles!
It’s a real inspired album, unlike F5F which is nice, but I heard enough of it after 1 week.
Mazarin is still doing magic on me, and always will.
Thanks Per!

MAZterpiece!
