Room Service

I read Bryan Adams is releasing a new album, the title will be “Room Service”, isn’t this sad? Maybe he’s getting back at Rox for taking “Run To You” hehe :p
Speedo said on June 30, 2004 18:04:
I read that too today and it made me laugh!!!
Still wouldn’t mind to go one of his concerts later this year!
harriej said on June 30, 2004 19:35:
And the tracklisting is starting with a song, called Real Sugar?
joyrider said on July 1, 2004 11:31:
i don’t think he is up to date with roxette’s projects ... just coincidence
arnie said on July 1, 2004 16:28:
I like BA very much but I think he has even less promotion than roxette. In Argentina, the last airplayed single was Back to you and it was a big flop. Great song btw.
coyboyusa said on July 1, 2004 17:29:
the unplugged version of back to you is really awesome great song, lol i love his song i wanna be your underwear LOL
sommartider said on July 1, 2004 18:04:
He also got a song called “Run to you”, maybe Gessle can influence him telepathically...
Jackeill said on July 1, 2004 19:03:
lol, bryan’s ’run to you’ was recorded 10 years before roxette’s...
coyboyusa said on July 3, 2004 12:50:
as homer simpson would say DOHT! run to you by roxette also came out a few yrs after run to you by whitney houston as well :)
Ferdan said on July 8, 2004 12:01:
An album title is at a totally different leven than a song title.....
Rich-UK said on July 8, 2004 12:33:
Agreed with Ferdan: it’s one thing to release a song called Help; it’s quite another to release an album called Rubber Soul!
PeterGm said on July 8, 2004 13:43:
“I’ll be there for you”, “something to believe in”, “run to you”, “believe”, “i want you”...all of these titles you can find in many albums of many artists...
The good thing for Roxette will be the confusion and maybe people will either end up with RoxRS instead of BARS...or maybe others will feel interested and buy it...
But yes, definitely... *coincidence*?

You can see the album cover here:
http://www.bryanadams.org/images/roomservice.jpg
Some sites say there will be 2 CDs, Room Service with 12 songs, and another acoustic one with 17 songs. Anyone who knows more? Too good to be true? Anyway I got to see Bryan Adams live June 1st here in Bergen, and he’s still really good.
Sascha said on July 9, 2004 10:51:
Are you sure that’s the real cover? Looks a bit homemade to me...
misteryman00 said on July 13, 2004 22:55:
well i prefer the cover of Rox than bryan...even if i like them both...but...
coyboyusa said on July 16, 2004 12:53:
lol poor bryan adams stop picking on him his slaes r worse than roxettes :) it could be worse he could title his album laundry service after shakira LOL
Booho said on July 18, 2004 17:32:
The first time I heard of Roxette was a cassette that a friend gave to me back in 1989.
On the side 1 it was Look Sharp on it, on the other side Brian Adams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now we have more information about his new album. The sleeve looks like this:
http://www.8ung.at/roxette/roomservice_ba.gif
I was absolutely surprised when I heard he starts his European Tour in Dornbirn (Austria). In this case we don’t have to drive too far to go to the concert (only about 30 km). Also we will not be able to hear any of the new songs before the concert. The album will be released 1-2 days after the first concert.
“Room Service” will be followed up with an acoustic CD entitled “Stripped” which includes 14 original songs, some of which are acoustic demos from the Room Service CD. Both CD’s were recorded on the road in Europe, in hotels and backstage at concert venues.
Nice memory from the Roxette “RS” Tour:

Same Title, (unfortunately) not the same artist:

Anyway nice to see they both picked the same theme. I like it. Let’s see if we can compare these two shows. Is there anyone who’s also going to one of B.A. shows?
tcooh said on August 24, 2004 11:06:
There is an article in Expressen today where Bryan Adams says: “I’m sorry, Roxette”. Where
he says didn’t know Roxette already had done an album called “Room Service” and a similar theme-album that was created in different hotelrooms around the world during a world tour.

Who’s going to see BA live this year too?
I’ll be at his show in Rotterdam (Holland) and I’m really looking forward to that!!
I love his latest single.
Anyone else?
RoxHard said on September 8, 2004 03:01:
I’ve just heard his new single Open Road on the internet. I have to say, it’s better than anything on Roxette’s Room Service!
RoxHard said on September 8, 2004 19:03:
And it looks like he’s finally gonna have a hit here in the UK. It’s ALWAYS on those ’mature’ radio stations. It’s a shame people weren’t so supportive of Roxette when they released their ’Room Service’ in the UK... :(. Ah well, at least TBH did something here!
Jackeill said on September 20, 2004 11:54:
i’ve got bryan’s room service. what a crap. it sux a big time. weak melodies, weak arrangements. there are no guitars. maybe only somewhere in the backround...
what a shame!

The official release date for the long awaited new album ’Room Service’ has been announced. The release is planned for September 20th 2004!
The first single from the album is expected to hit the shelves in August and it will most likely be a rock song (according to BA in chat). The new album will contain Bryan’s own version of ’East Side Story’.
Additionally Bryan’s new soundtrack will be out before Christmas and he will be singing 1 or 2 songs on it.
