Norwegian reviews of F5F

As Ketil wrote yesterday F5F got a bad review in Dagbladet with 2 out of 6. (http://www.dagbladet.no/kultur/2004/06/15/400515.html)
But great news today as VG came with their review of F5F giving it 5 out of 6! (http://www.vg.no/pub/vgart.hbs?artid=230857)
Translation: “A show of classical pop-tricks.
Per Gessle and Gyllene Tider is once more about to put our neighbour country upside down, and we understand why. Finn 5 Fel! (by the way hard to see) is a refreshing pile of summerhits, which combines Gessle’s geniale pop-scent with Gyllene Tider’s patented power-pop, farfisa-organ, and shalala-/oohooh-/heyhey- choruses.
Here’s handclaps and mandolins, tamburines and sharp guitars, and not at least summerlight lyrics. They even found room for a Ramones tribute, “Ande i en flaska”. It relaxed playfulness, and a true feeling for melody is this album, which forces us to take of our hat (/bow) for Per Gessle pop-scent - once more.”
Let’s hope for more reviews soon. The Norwegian people need to get to know about F5F. The promotion so far has been horrible! Nothing at all really, EMI/Capital do your work, you know it’s gonna sell!!!

I think that since we will “eat” GT until end of Summer AT least.. it’s not that late to publish a review.. might “refresh” somebody’s mind :D

I’ve written to the large regional newspaper on the west coast of Norway asking where their reviews of F5F are. Bergens Tidene (www.bt.no) replied within 10 minutes:
“Hei
Many records comes to be reviewed. The one you mention is reviewedm but did not make it to the newspaper as lack of space. I believe the will be space for it next tuesday.”
Reviews printed 2 weeks after the release??? What’s the point then? The hype is already gone. Weak I think. thin CDs that will sell less than 500 copies get reviewed the day they’re released, large selling CD are space filling weeks later. Arrrgh!!!
