Nelly Furtado's kicking ass in the UK Album Charts

Out of absolutely nowhere - Nelly Furtado’s Folklore jumped into the UK top 20 a few weeks ago!
Nelly Furtado’s UK Album Chart Positions:
22nd March: #42
29th March: #17
5th April: #11
12th April: #13
19th April: #24
26th April: #32
3rd May: #37
10th May: #34
Things aren’t turning out to be so bad for Miss Furtado after all. Powerless (say what you want) spent a very impressive 3 months in the UK top 40 (peaking at #13), and Try reached #15 and stayed in the Top 40 for a month.
And more Nelly Furtado news: Her song Forca has been chosen as the Offficial theme song for ’Euro 2004 Football’ - to all you yanks, this isn’t just a sports show - this is the biggest footballing (erm, sorry... soccer!) event of the past 4 years (it’s like the olympics - 4 year-cycles). This event will be viewed by up to 1 billion people worldwide! If that’s not publicity - I don’t know what is! Forca should be released as a single mid-August.
Yay! Forca is one of my favourite tracks from the album! You lot realy should give Nelly Furtado’s Folklore a chance - it really is a great album (10 absolutely fantastic tracks!). It DEFINITELY is the best album of 2003!

2 weeks on... still in the Top 40. http://www.bpi.co.uk says that the albums gone Silver - which I doubt!
As much as I like Britney’s new album, BPI (British Phonographic Industry) have stated that In The Zone went Platinum - after spending barely a month at positions like #19 and #17? I suspect some dodgy goings-on in the BPI office!
And Nelly Furtado spends 2 months in the Top 40 in the past few weeks, and they say that her album went Silver on release (Nov 2003) - but what about the 100,000+ copies she’s sold since then? She should surely be on X2 Gold (200,000) by now - not X1 Silver (60,000)!!!

YAAAY!
Just wanted you all to read this again!
Plus, the album will be charting again soon!

It’s #64 this week.
And Lenny Kravitz ain’t doing very well, is he? His new album got to #74 in the UK album chart! Seems Roxette aren’t the only people struggling to get a hit in the UK anymore!

Forca is out in July/August!!!
I can’t wait for it! It’s the new anthem for the Euro 2004 competition - so about 1 billion people will hear it!!! It’s gonna be huge (fingers crossed x) !!!
