The most un-typical Roxette song

What do you consider as the most untypical Roxette song, say a song that you’re proud of they put out as contrary to most of their other material? It can also stand out as a negative track that doesn’t fit in at all.

I think that

“Watercolours In The Rain” deserves a lot of credit since it is sooooooo un-Joyride-like. Beautifully different. A ballad whose concept is something else than just plain love.

Stars

Ferdan is right, definately Stars

Cooper & Try (Just A Little Bit Harder) were a bit unexpected

Stars and Crazy about you

and, japp watercolours in the rain differs because marie wrote the music... I thnik it’s cool to look at the sheet music... you will SEE the difference... =)

ye ’stars’ without a doubt , But if it was with guitar and slowed down then thats roxette.

where can I get the sheet music to watercolours in the rain?

cooper is pretty odd, but cool. I never really listened to HAND that much.

Entering Your Heart, very different in arrangement. Very good, too!
And maybe Happy Together....

Rox On!

Stars and Entering your heart, amazing that Roxette made songs like those... just perfect!

for me is you dont understand me, i hope they make a ballad like this in their new album, if there is one....hope so

there’s no doubt that for me, the most untypical Roxette song is SEE ME, so enya-like and totally different from any other song.

ernes.

@ on a mission: there’s a joyride songbook for piano, vocal an guitar which came out on “cherry lane music” don’t know if you still can buy it, but these songbooks appear on ebay from time to time...

Stars & Entering Your Heart

Stay (At home, at work, at play)

when listening to this song I always think it must have been a demo for the album “the lonely boys”

you don’t understand me...

so different and boring

from each album:
-call of the wild
-i could never give you up
-physical fascination
-cinnamon street
-the first girl on the moon
-stars
-make my head go pop

I also agree that there´re some non-album tracks such as see me, entering your heart, happy together and crazy about you which are quiet strange. but great!

See me

See me
Try

see me,but I love it:)

There are not many un-typical rox songs...When I hear a new roxette song I always say “oh, this is so typical!”... My mom who had more than 8 years a rox fan in her house says that she recognize a gessle song from a million other tunes! She only needs 10 sec. of a melodical line for telling me “this is Gessle!”...(I tested her and she’s really amazing...she didn’t exaggerate at all; she recognized even “sakta mina...” or “apple in the mud” when I sung them to her among other songs of different artists). So... I think only for a Roxette fan ear one of the rox/per songs still sound “un-typical”...The other persons are immediatly notice the “gessle line”...

Even “Crazy about you” has a chorus that can be written only by Gessle...But the most un-typical, in my oppinion is “Physical Phascination”.

In my opinion Stars, Make my head go pop, See me, Almost unreal

The heart shaped the sea-Staring at th e ground& Stars

One I could say is BOOHO, too... It’s such contrast to Stars on the single!

Actually, the Stars 3-track single could be the most un-typical Roxette single ever :P

Stars, great song, but quite un-typical.

Stars (the most unexpected and a single), Entering Your Heart (this one is VERY good!) and See Me (Enya-like for me too)

See Me & You Don’t Understand Me

mmm... the whole Room Service album....

forced to sound roxettish & up to date, but they failed.

view from a hill

Per said once, that the Chances track is just not Roxette. IMHO, the song is great.

Roxette music is full of surprises. I think the most un-typical Rox-song, whatever it is, is the most typical song in the same time.

physical fascination....

and as for per gessle solo unexpected, for me it was the video for do you wanna be my baby, I thought the video was great but very different to what you would expect.
