Vix - who are the Shadows?
Rich-UK said on April 3, 2004 19:13:
The Shadows are a guitar band (principally instrumentals) who were most famous in the 1960s.
Their most famous song is probably “Apache”, which was one of their UK #1s.
They finished 2nd in the Eurovision song contest in the 1970s with “Let Me Be The One” (a vocal track).
They split up in 1990 since when Bruce Welch (rhythm) Hank Marvin (lead) have not spoken.
After Hank’s final tour last year they are reforming for a 30+ date final UK tour this Spring.
Hope this helps! All the best, Rich
