Oh, I’m from Europe and I don’t even dare to dream about seeing Roxette on tour once again. A new album, maybe, but a tour...I don’t know...I think you American guys have to stop dreaming about it as well...Dreams like this brings no good...Just dissapointment...Marie won’t be able to handle another tour...So, enojoy the GT this summer!

Hey USROXETTEFAN,
Remember TIMES SQUARE- Summer of 2000?
They played 5 numbers that day/night.
So that makes it 2 nights in NYC :)
What about Chicago, I wonder if they have ever played here?
Rox On!

They don’t bother with the US anymore. They never released anything new (i.e. HAND and RS) domestically, and the only thing we’ve gotten here are hits packages (the Edel DBU and TBH—no TPH whatsoever) I’d say we have a snowball’s chance in hell of seening them here. As far as the US market goes, they’re relics of the late 80s and early 90s. Be thankful we got the videos.
I’d be thrilled if they came, but if I was to hold my breath, I’d’ve passed out by now.

Whaaat?!
By the Joyride Tour they had scored 4 #1’s and 2 #2’s, plus sold platinum (over 1 million copies) with both Look Sharp! and Joyride...and then they perform in the biggest city of the country at a tiny friggin theatre with a capacity of 2,800??????
Are you kidding?

I’m not giving up. I think they just might surprise us. And hopefully but doubtfully they’ll come here, in Romania, too...

I KNOW! that Roxette are going out on tour again! Per said that many times, he said that 2005 they are planning to do a comeback, of course they cant do that now when GT are celebrating their 25 years anniversary and Marie are doing here solo album….and per have said that: “the roxers will go out on the roads again”….so hold on boys and girls! Join the GT year!!

I won’t believe that they will never tour again until they announce it officially. Simply because I don’t want to believe it :-(( And of course I hope they will come back to the US , would be a great chance to visti NY again and see Roxette there *Ikeepdreaming*

Well, it really just depends on what you mean by “tour”... given that they only did a half a dozen or so countries in Europe the last time out, I think that’s pretty much the upper limit on how big of a tour they’ll do (if they ever do one again). But the US? Maybe a festival here and there or a small promo tour like the 2000 shows... I would love, love, love to be wrong about that, but touring has always been a bit of an issue for Roxette and I can only see it becoming more of an issue in the future.
Personally, I’ll be happy just to see another Roxette album (and I’m hopeful that will happen, too).

well whatever happens, I hope that they’ll play together again. maybe only a small tour of sweden, but I can’t see them stopping.

I don’t care if they tour the US, all I want is they tour Costa Rica again... But that’s what I call a DREAM!! :-p

I just HAVE to reply to this thread... because AnimalKingdom’s comment reminds me how puzzled (and angry) I was at the time. Roxette could EASILY have have filled Madison Square Garden or (as Per had hoped and originally planned) Radio City Music Hall but the producers here failed to adequately advertise and promote the concert. Radio ads with a short medley of those #1, #2 hits would have done the trick...
The decision to book The Beacon instead was made by people who did not have faith that they could sell enough tickets to warrant a larger venue.
Will Roxette ever tour the U.S. again? No. Someplace else? Possibly... it all depends on Marie’s continued good health... but well, that’s not the topic of this thread now is it? ;-)
