north Sweden

Hej alla!
This summer my boyfriend, a friend of ours and I are going to the north of Sweden (Kiruna, Kebnekaise and maybe a bit farther :-)). We will be travelling by car.
I’d like to know who’s been there already and how the roads, accommodation like hostels and campings are (we’ll take tents with us). And what are places that shouldn’t be missed (like great waterfalls, special sights etc) during the trip?
I know, there’s a lot of info that can be found on the internet, but it’s always great to hear something from someone who’s been there :-)
Thanx in advance for the info!

In 2000 I was there too. I spent a week in Lapland with a friend of mine. We took the train from Stcokholm to Kiruna and then walked all the way towards Kebnekaise. The roads I’ve seen are all in good condition. You will find campings and hostels, but you don’t need them. You can put your tent anywhere you like and there are many nice places with waterfalls.
By the way, the day we arrived at Kebnekaise, the weather was so bad (rain all day) that we couldn’t even see the mountain anymore!!
