Do any webmasters know of any Internet Services (free or chargeble) which monitor webspace/web sites for technical breakdowns/faults?

Anyway, for uptime:
www.siteuptime.com monitors the uptime of the websites every 30 minutes if u have a free account, every 5 if you pay an amount/month.
Alertra.com should be another (not free).
To check html/ css:
www.w3.org validators
