Anyone who knows which font is used in...
...Marie’s album “Het Vind” (in the front cover - name and title)
...Gyllene Tider’s early albums (in their name/logo)
...Roxette’s single “Salvation” (in the title “Salvation”)
...The Lonely Boys’ album (in their name in the front cover)
Thank you for all help. :)

LOL! I take it that’s referring to me? :D
Unfortunately, i’m not that good with fonts... but, I use this site.
You can browse through the fonts, by adding what you want them to say. It’s easy to get matches then, if they have the font.

queen? ha-ha, why not king? :)
Gyllene and Lonely Boys name are only in special “Roxette font”.

I have that roxette font... Gyllene Tider one, it’s very similar to English script too.
ally meant me, and i’m a girlie. ;) But not overly up on fonts... Just like them. :D

@ Denstandigaresan: thank you for the link. :) Will have a look there. And regarding the “English” font, yes, this one’s quite similar to that used in the early Gyllene Tider logo, indeed, yet, not too close, as the “l”, the “n” and the “r” are rather different. ;) Well, closest one I found so far is “Palace Script”... A little too “italic”, this one, though...
Also I do know the “special Roxette font” you mention, AntiMario, yes. :) Still, I go on hoping to eventually find out which fonts were actually used in each of those particular names, Gyllene Tider and The Lonely Boys (as well as in those others I mentined above)...
I gotta confess I myself am quite fond of (collecting) fonts too... :P
So, anything else anyone may find worthy to add, please, every bit of help is as welcome as it is appreciated, thank you. :)

FYI... there is a forum on there, that if you post a picture including the font you want, people can tell you what it is, close match, whether it’s a free or paid for font etc. It’s good. :)

So guys, question!
The font used on Room Service in the word Roxette, and on the Run To You single, is it the same? It seems to have the same characteristics (??), just some minor differences. Hope you understood my question! :o)
Denstandigaresan said on January 23, 2004 14:11:
The Roxette, on Room Service, is Snell black bt(true type).
Could be the same, will look later. :)
tevensso (moderator) said on January 23, 2004 14:26:
The Gyllene Tider logo is probably Kuenstler TwoBold Script. I don’t have it, but Kuenstler SchreibschDBol which is very similar, although not perfect.
Denstandigaresan said on January 23, 2004 15:40:
Kuenstler is only available to buy, by the looks of it.
Denstandigaresan said on January 23, 2004 15:45:
The Run To You and Room Service fonts, look very similar... the flick of the R leg and top look slighty different, but could be they cut it... other than that...
sweepi said on January 23, 2004 17:19:
Well, regarding the fonts used in the word Roxette on “Run To You” and “Room Service”, hum, the one used on “Run To You” (according to the info from Roxette Central) is actually Shelley Andante, whereas the one on “Room Service” is indeed Snell, just the same as on “Church Of Your Heart”. :)
And, tevensso, thanx for the hint. :) (Now there’s a font I had never heard of before, coming to the Roxette related font world...)
Then again, here goes another question (if someone around happens to know it): which is the font used in the title on the front cover of the album “Puls” (in the word “puls”)?...
And once more, thanx all for your help. :)

Was just doing some checking on Kuenstler Script and, well, unfortunately seems like this isn’t the one yet... :/ On one hand, Kuenstler Script Two Bold does match the “T”, but then the “G” doesn’t match. It does with Kuenstler Script Medium though, but then again neither does the “T” and nor the “r”. Either way, neither of the two match the “l”. So I’m to guess this probably is not it?... :/ I wasn’t able to find anything about that other font you mention though, tevensso, Kuenstler SchreibschDBol?...

Hej
I reeeeeally need the “Ballad Hits” font, does anybody know where I can get it ? I only know its name (Helvetica neue) but couldn’t find it for free in any site. (Hope I’m not asking for too much) !! :)
All the best

Hi! PS Sans is the same as Helvetica. One of them is the remake of the other, I don’t remember which is the original, Helvetica I suppose... Anyway, maybe you’ll find this one for free.

Well, by luck (lucky me :)) and as browsing through the script fonts on Linotype’s site, searching for a match for Gyllene Tider logo’s font, I happened to stumble into the font used in the “Salvation” single which I asked before. Font name: ITC Ziggy. Might anyone else be looking to find out about it... :)
Also, and speaking of “Salvation”, just a lil’ note only to say that the font used in “Have A Nice Day” and outtaken singles (in the lyrics texts and etc), appears not to be Officina Sans (noticing that both upper and lower “i” didn’t seem to match so I went for some checking), as referred in most sites, but I think actually Bosis...
But again to Gyllene Tider’s logo, well, I tried with all Kuenstler/Kunstlerschreibschrift fonts referred by tevensso, Palace Script as I had previously mentioned, and also a couple of other fonts which I found to be somewhat similar along the way (Hogarth and Copperplate scripts), still Palace Script appears to be the closest?... Any more ideas, anyone?...
And still on Gyllene Tider, what about the font used on the front cover of the album “The Heartland Café” (in the word “Heartland”), anyone knows?...
Thanx again. :)
