I was just looking on music news ect and george michael has a new single and album coming out. i just wonder what people think of his MUSIC.
I liked Freeek , it was hard fast and a baseline to kill for on it, but when i saw the video it was too far and very tastless and shouldnt of been on TV in my opinion. But i just listerned to freek again after a lonnngg time now, and i still like the song alot .
now the ’shoot the dog’ was very funny and true !!!!! if you’ve seen it LOL ;).

I really really like George Michael for both his music and the person he is. He is one of the most misunderstood people of all times. You cannot find many people sing like him. He nailed Somebody To Love in Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert like noone else. Even Elton John did a sh**y job. I always admire Elton John for his live performances though. Anyways, I do believe George Michael is a true singer and a good entertainer. I am not sure why he has kind of vanished from the face of the Earth, at least in North America. It could be due to the park accident. Anyways, again I admire him for standing up to his acts and even made “Outside”. I like people who say what they believe. He is good. Very good.

He is a helluva sexy man, and with really fantastically sexy songs. :)

DaminehGessle - they say that he has vanished form north america and lost popularity there, because they hated the ’shoot the dog ’ video, its the one with MR ’prick ’Bush riding a nuclear rocket. I thought it was so british of him lol.

he was fin right up until older older was a great album but his politicaly inclied stuff now isnt him and i am not just sayin that cause i am an american

coyboy: Yeah I think so. I actually admire those who stand up for their ideas. John Lennon, Bob Marley and ... I am not comparing George Michael to them or anyone else. I just like those who use their power to say what they want. They always amaze me. And I loved him when he was so proud to say he was gay. I really liked him for that interview.
I am just wondering whether he vanished from North American scene or he’s vanished from the European scenes as well. Someone in England: please answer :).

I really like George Michael as well, cuz he is a true talent, even if he is misunderstood here in North America. Usually when artists get all political, after they get famous, they lose American audiences. Me, I have no problem with that, and I applaud him for it. He was brave for doing “Shoot The Dog”, but it turned off conservative middle-Americans, which I actually think is GOOD!! I prefer artists who have integrity and stand behind everything they say and put out + don’t back down. That’s why I was bummed with Madonna and her original “American Life” video, and why I dislike Wacko Jacko, cuz he has no backbone.
George does, he’s an artist bar none, and a fine singer to boot (the voice, not the man, LOL). I dug his performance at the FM tribute concert, also with one of my faves, Lisa Stansfield!! She’s amazing too!! Big Elton fan here as well.
Back to George, I also think he has sorta disappeared here cuz he lost his US deal, with Dreamwoirks and Virgin. Those 2 last singles, “Shoot The Dog” and “Freeeek” never had US releases. HOWEVER, I just read in Billboard that George just signed a new worldwide deal with Sony, with a new album and single on the way the world over...soooooo I predict, comeback of the year, 2004?? George Michael!!! Runnersup: Tears For Fears and Duran Duran...

I love a lot of George’s material. He’s put out a lot of good material over the years. I’m really looking forward to his new single and new album. Hopefully we’ll see this new material get released in the USA at the same time as the rest of the world.
I loved “Freeek!” I thought it was fantastic. “Shoot The Dog” was good as well, and I loved the video! It was so funny. And yeah, I’m American. :p

Yeah heehee.
Oh Larry I must add: GM was a great fan of Freddie. Heehee. I loved his interview about the whole tribute concert. He was about to cry.

I really like the (almost extreme) sexuality GM exudes...his videos were always an intimate study of the human body and its interactions.
I was acutally expecting an album containing “shoot the dog” and “freeek”....is that in the works or not? anyone knows?
heheh I really like the part in “shoot the dog” when he peels off his clothes and gets into bed with Mrs Blair. *grin*

LOL, George michael has always been VERY popular in the UK . He just been quiet lately on the music sence though. As far as im aware ’Freeek’ and ’shoot the dog’ wont be on the new album called ’Patience’ and new single ’amazing ’ gets its first play worldwide on the 26th in the UK.
Ye he does have a new record deal with sony.
another artist having problems in the US now there is a suprise LMAO.
rox-kuryliw said on January 21, 2004 13:55:
I bet ’shoot the dog’ and ’freeek’ will be bonus tracks on the album in Europe.
coyboyusa said on January 21, 2004 18:48:
he had trouble with his label and they chose not to promote older after the single fastlove and his infamous bathroom incident...since then u don’t hear anything about him unless its scandalous like his outside video lol
DaminehGessle said on January 21, 2004 20:02:
coyboy good that you mentioned it in your last sentence. I was about to mention it. Didn’t think you would. Wasn’t that an awesome song and even video? I loved it. Slap to everyone.

George Michael is music that makes me think back to when I was about 7 years old and knew some Wham songs. As for GM solo, well.... I did like the “older” album. As for the rest.. never got up to date. STD is oke, so is the video.
