Payment systems?

This is slightly off-topic, but can you propose any good payment systems for TDR members to use? I’m going to put a big list of items for sale and I’d like to know what systems to offer.

PayPal is the first one that comes on my mind, but are there any others?

I suggest cash in regestried mail Thats the method I prefer to use

@roxeteer: there is also Bidpay and Western Union but I definitely think that Paypal is the best!

there’s also 2checkout.com but I am not sure what you have to do to become a merchant. It’s a system to pay thru credit card.

Another one is paysystems.com

worldpay.co.uk

I always use PayPal, it’s handy and quick!

Hi Guys, I am actually working for PayPal, we have opened a brand new office for the European market in Ireland not too long ago and I can tell you, that you will not find any cheaper and easier way of online payment than PayPal.

If any one of you has got any questions about PayPal, on how to use it or how it works, just let me know and I’d be more than happy to help you guys out!

jupp got an email telling that in february all accounts of european citizens will be dealt from EU, well, let’s see how it goes :)

PayPal has got 100% better recently :) I use it all the time for ebay and stuff.
Sending cash is risky these days.

I agree! PayPal is far the best!! Sending cash in a letter is way too expensive if one has to register it! At least in Sweden!

Yes, PayPal is now really focussed on the European Market, we have got new European Offices now to be able to accomodate the special needs for the European Market etc. But the change is not really going to effect the PayPal account you had before the changeover.

Unfortunately PayPal is not available in a HUGE number of countries. Whenever I can, I use BidPay. Safe, fast, cheap.

I think PayPal is ok. But in Europe they charge you very much for receiving money. 1 Euro for transferring it to your bank-account. The normal fee plus 3% and 1% if the sender is not registered in your own country.

I only choose it, if there is no other option. Registered letter is ok, if it is not more than 30 Euros.

Well, here is a Weblink to the exact PayPal fees, comparing the PayPal Fees to the Fees of any other Payment Method, you will not find another service with the Options and Features that PayPal has got to offer, with such low fees...
the link is:
http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-fees-outside

I know the fees. It is ok for creditcard. But bank-transmission in Germany and in the complete Euroland (countries which pay in Euro) are free (as receiver and also free to send, if you have a good bank or you are a student...)

So, it is only the second choice for me.
