Is anyone else a fan of Kate Bush? I have just discovered her music and think she is wonderful. Wuthering Heights and Hounds of love are great songs. She is definitely my second favourite singer (after Marie of course!)

Definitely an aquired taste, Kate Bush. Truly unique. Loathed her at first, but a friend kept forcing her on me until she seeped into me and took over.
The Dreaming is a great album, start to finish, as is The Hounds of Love (probably my favorite) is her best. The Sensual World isn’t half bad either, and The Red Shoes is fine. I’d list favorite songs, but that would be a rather lengthy list.
Nothing new from her—aside from the odd track on a tribute compilation—since 1993.

Rumors abound—a new album this summer. . . and as it’s been 12 years since her last effort, I’ll not be holding my breath.

I’m toying with the idea of buying the honkin’ box set, This Woman’s Work if I can find a lower price. Top list was around $180, but I think I’ve found it elewhere for $50 less. It’s a hefty cost for 8 CDs—especially when I own half of them.

Not one of my favorites, but interesting nonetheless.
That getup she wears in the video is something though.

I BIG HEART KATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dreaming cd is absolutely blinding.....but I also have a soft spot for The Red Shoes. I agree ref. her videos.....she’s such a talented woman and I can’t believe how long it’s been since her last album. She was due to release an album in March htis year but surprise, surprise it’s been delayed again!:-(((((( A truly misunderstood genius!

So the rumor now is that she’s actually delivered her album to EMI and we should be expecting a release (How To Be Invisible is the title I’ve heard) this fall (Sept-Oct).
After well over a decade it’s damn time. It’s the only CD release I’ve really been looking forward to, although, until I hear the official word as to when, I’m keeping reserved.
