Do you want to hear Roxette on the radio?
StupidGirl said on December 20, 2003 12:02:
Listen up everybody! I work in the music department of a (small) radio station. I’m only doing an internship there. But now my boss is taking two weeks off and I’m the only person in the music department...
that means I’m the one in control! I could play anything I want... including ROXETTE. but I’m not going to play them, unless....
well, that’s were you come in! you see, I’m a very corrupt person. and I’m always broke. so if you want to hear a ROXETTE song once every hour (or more often), place your offer here! (doens’t have to be cash, I’d also take your Ferrari)
But don’t think a few bucks will do! I’d definitely lose my job over this and probably never find one in radio business again. So don’t insult me with low offers. I’ll have to live on that for the rest of my life (and I don’t plan a rock ’n’ roll suicide at the age of 25).
Come on people, show me what you’ve got to offer!

Nobody interested? Maybe I’d better put my offer on ebay then. there might some fans of other bands who are willing to pay more :D
StupidGirl said on December 20, 2003 15:48:
if you don’t want to reveal your offer here in public, just write me an email. that’s just as fine

Pay to hear Roxette in a country I don’t even live in?? Wow, I guess not.

Perhaps the name says it all.. Why would anyone want to pay to hear Roxette on the radio.... when u can play the CD!!!
StupidGirl said on December 20, 2003 17:40:
first of all, everbody can listen to my radio because it’s also available online.
and second: of course you can listen to your CDs. but I’ve seen so many people in here complaining that Roxette isn’t played enough on the radio. now you can change that
StupidGirl said on December 20, 2003 17:42:
it’s all about promotion. you want Roxette back on the top of the charts? just ask me ;)

This is for real? Oj!
One person is gonna get Roxette back to the top of the charts eh? Wow.
Mari said on December 20, 2003 20:10:
Stupid joke. Well, if I want to hear Roxette on the radio, I just open the radio :) Radiostations here plays Roxette pretty much.
Denstandigaresan said on December 20, 2003 20:24:
9 times out of 10, my local radio station will play Roxette if you request it. Usually it’s on a couple times during the morning hours. Always know when Rox are on, my mum turns the radio up!

Ha! Ha! Ha! Don’t know exactly why, but this thread amuses me a lot!
... Mh...I think I’m in too...here’s my offer too...1500$
Max-Tob said on December 20, 2003 20:38:
...and one more thing! If I am going to hear at some radio station in my town (which is Paris) Roxette - and not one time/hour, I think I’ll declare myself satisfied with once a week airplaying, I’d double the sum...No! Be it 4000 Euros!!
PS: Hei, stupid girl, I’m in the mass media business too...I’m working in the printing area...so..what do you say about a sort of... you know... sort of a deal... Let me know if you want the details...
he-he-he...
Max (today I’m bad)

Move to New Zealand, and I’ll volunteer as an official radio announcer!
StupidGirl said on December 21, 2003 11:20:
4000 euros for once a week airplaying? sounds fair :D
but hey, I can offer you one hour (or two, or three) Roxette only. so sell your house and place your offers!
StupidGirl said on December 21, 2003 11:21:
n-Somnia: sorry, even if the radio moved to New Zealand, I wouldn’t be able to do anything for you. I don’t hire people. I just work in the music department
StupidGirl said on December 21, 2003 11:24:
@Max-Tob: what kind of deal are you thinking of?
oh, and I have an idea. I don’t only work for a radio, but also for e-zine. I write music reviews. so for every offer exceeding 50’000 euros, I’ll throw in a free top mark review of any album of choice. sounds good, doesn’t it?

This can only lead to a bad place. I’m closing this.
