Maybe he already ordered one! Per was at the IAA in Frankfurt (International Car Exhibition) last summer and checked the SLR. A fan has seen him sitting in the sportscar, guided by a Mercedes official. Normal people were not allowed to touch or even sit in the car! You can find the (german) report at www.roxetteforum.com
