ATLTK said on December 3, 2003 15:02:
do u think we will get a message from marie soon xmas greeting?
how do u think she will spend her christmas
pietROxette said on December 3, 2003 15:22:
In case she doesn’t send a x-mas greeting to the fans (which is, understandably, very likely to happen), please please please do not automatically assume that her condition turned worse and stuff.
Kiwein1 said on December 3, 2003 15:30:
I am with you on that, Pietro!! She’s fine! I am very sure about that..someone told me in a dream three nights ago..*g* He said (in english!! though I am german): “she’s at the top, better than ever.”
ally77 said on December 3, 2003 16:31:
I agree with TED on this one, it would be nice to know what is happening with Marie’s health... we have not heard anything in a while, I am sure a little press statement would stop any awful rumours circulating around to globe as they always do!
tevensso (moderator) said on December 3, 2003 16:57:
Just because Varberg doesn’t get snow doesn’t mean other parts of Sweden won’t get it. Djursholm may very well get snow for instance...
Kiwein1 said on December 3, 2003 17:13:
AND it really was J U S T an example that should make clear the she surely is FINE!!
per_mson said on December 3, 2003 23:34:
I think Marie will spend her christmas in a pink castle made of glass somewhere near Örebro. ;)
And no, I don´t think she will send any X-mas greeting this year.
Denstandigaresan said on December 3, 2003 23:54:
To Ted...
Merry Christmas n’stuff,
From
Marie.
There. All is well with the world.
MiracleMan said on December 4, 2003 00:16:
*chuckling*
But isn’t Ted Swedish too? Wouldn’t she write in their mother tongue.
Min Älskling Teddy
Gode Vintertid Födelsedog på Christ.
Marie
Denstandigaresan said on December 4, 2003 13:45:
Till Ted,
God Jul, och gott nytt år,
Kram
Marie
There... now all is well with the world! ;)
Nox1983 said on December 4, 2003 15:41:
Hej Ted!
Who knows if Marie will send a message next xmas, but it would be a great “xmas present” from this nice singer. I really hope she is doing well, and let´s see if there is any “god jul” from her...
Jordi :-)
roxonthemoon said on December 4, 2003 17:05:
WAKE UP! we - the fanbase - only get christmas-greetings when it’s time to make promotion, i mean when a new album is out after christmas ...
ally77 said on December 4, 2003 18:14:
Awww come on leave Ted alone... he is just making a valid point...
I agree with the above person... maybe Marie is happy to spend Christmas just with her family but I am pretty sure she will be happy with lots of promo for the new album, sure she’ll want us all then!!
Rony said on December 4, 2003 18:26:
ok, i’m SURE this is not the case. I do not believe that Marie will send us something for x-mas just for promotion, she’s not like that!! (at least i THINK she’s not...) so don’t say these things untill you get a proov this really is the case.
After last year, with all our greeting to her to get well, i think she will send us something here.
Nox1983 said on December 4, 2003 19:03:
I agree with Rony, and I think she should send a message, but if not, it´s OK, maybe she needs to rest, and being at home with her family... But I´m not agree with Marie´s message for promotion and such things... I never would think bad about her...
By the way, I think that this it is a very interesting topic...
Rony said on December 4, 2003 19:07:
hey jordi, how are you? i’m still stuck at school, i’m at home by 22:30 your time, so meet me there if you can.
btw- i want PER to send us something, too... :))
ChrisWilliams said on December 4, 2003 19:38:
“She should” ?
She shouldn’t have to do anything. It’s extremely naïve to think that her priorities are with recording messages for fans: She’s barely had a year’s rest after a life-threatening illness.
She’s spent the last 20 years working hard. People think it’s all glamour - But really, how many of us would have the energy to do everything she does? I think she deserves as long a break as she wants.
I’m disappointed that more fans aren’t insisting that she has a longer break, instead of moaning about Christmas messages.
ally77 said on December 4, 2003 20:12:
She should rest for as long needs be, but it would be a nice gesture to send something... anyone that thinks different is wrong.. Marie has been busy working on a new album or so we are told which if all goes well might get released next year and of course there will be plenty of opportunity for promo.
Okay as I have said before we all know Marie is a private person, but hearing nothing on her health since September is a worry... I think a Christmas message would be good but who knows what will happen....
marie-jane said on December 4, 2003 20:24:
@ChrisWilliams: Absolutly my oppinion, couldn’t write it better...
Denstandigaresan said on December 4, 2003 20:41:
Don’t think she’ll be doing any promotion for the album, personally. Would be nice though of course.
Kind of a threat, ’leave us an christmas message, or we won’t buy your album’??
Hmm.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Marie told us all to sod off.
And if anything was to be told, people would still question it, and believe what they want.
Ohhh, what a lovely thread this is turning in to.
ally77 said on December 4, 2003 20:49:
Personally I don’t give a shit... I have learnt to keep quite as there will always be someone to pull the thread apart...
sofiab said on December 4, 2003 21:44:
I am so sick and tired of people making fun of Ted!
If it was in IRL I would have report it to the police long time ago.
tevensso (moderator) said on December 4, 2003 22:28:
That’s an interesting approach, what would the crime be? “Making fun of someone”? I can’t say I know the law that well, but I don’t think that’s punishable.
ally77 said on December 4, 2003 22:52:
Perhaps a form of Slander... nah would not stand up in a court...
MiracleMan said on December 5, 2003 01:01:
Perhaps badly impersonating a celebrity in horribly inaccurate Swedish would fair better in the courts?
*turning off the lights, waiting for the police bang on the door*
LittleSpooky said on December 5, 2003 03:27:
If stupidity, insults, being an asshole, and several other things were against the law: EVERYONE would be in prison.
Do you now realize how silly your statement is, sofia?
per_mson said on December 5, 2003 10:11:
Well, if people should be sent to the police for making fun of other people on the net I think that people also should be sent to the police for not following the rules the moderators has on this forum as well...
Kiwein1 said on December 5, 2003 10:21:
The point is that some people are still making fun of him though he didn’t do anything wrong.
Rony said on December 5, 2003 14:51:
......and somehow wer’e not even on the topic this thread is on......
Denstandigaresan said on December 5, 2003 15:38:
Rony, that suprises you why? Most of the threads on here go offtopic within a few posts.
per_mson said on December 5, 2003 16:54:
Kiwein: Are you defending him HERE? On your forum I heard you don’t like him so much... ;)
Furthermore I don’t see that telling a person not to write something, he has written 5 times before and noone apparently cares about, is bullying.
Kiwein1 said on December 5, 2003 17:09:
@per_mson: Ok, where exactly did you hear/read that? (-:
Even if I did not like him that much does that not mean that I like the way he is been treated here.
ally77 said on December 5, 2003 17:30:
Sometimes it’s funny... but sometimes it’s not... I mean hardly fair to TED!
Nox1983 said on December 5, 2003 18:54:
I don t understand, if you hate TED, why are you blaming him, and still talking to him?
MiracleMan said on December 5, 2003 19:11:
Hmmmmmm. . .the way this thread is spooling out. . .
I hadn’t realized that EVERY topic needs to be treated with a solemn seriousness, and not to do so was such an egregious offense.
Mea maxima, maxia culpa
Those gathering rocks for a stoning: let he who is without sin cast the first. There’s been much harsher and far more direct, insulting, hurtful posts aimed at him by regulars to these forums. If ATLTK didn’t have thicker skin than most of you seem to give him credit for, I think he’d’ve left the forums A LONG TIME AGO.
AND FOR THE RECORD—YET AGAIN—underlined, exclaimation point—I love to see Ted participating, when he has a valid topic or wastes space with the threads that become archived. I look forward to it. He definitely adds color and humor to the forums and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Nox1983 said on December 5, 2003 19:17:
hahahahahahahaha....MM: nice man.-
by the way, that girl, sofia, and her strange relation-ship with TED, reminds me the song...
i love to hate you, i love to hate you, i love to hate youuuuuuuuuuuuuu....
per_mson said on December 5, 2003 21:24:
Kiwein: I have my sources... hihi! ;)
Well, at least I agree with MM. I also think Ted’s topics are giving this forum something. They are fun and I look forward to his questions. Lately most of them has been archived for whatever reason and that has maybe not always been the best questions. But there are many other people here (probably me as well) who should think before they are writing sometimes... It is just that sometimes I can get a bit irritated when everyone tell him to quit it and he still goes on with the same stuff but in a new thread.
Kiwein1 said on December 5, 2003 21:59:
@per_mson: Ah, ok! I’m sure that I have never written anywhere that I don’t like him. I agree with you concerning Ted opening threads..I don’t like that either, since they’re most of the time just senseless.
BUT: this time he really didn’t do anything wrong and people are still making fun of him. That’s what I actually dislike. So I guess, I am not really defending him in general, but I do when it comes to this topic.
Everybody deserves several chances, he didn’t even get one!

*reverse shift: BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP. put truck in park. Door opens and closes, long walk to bumper, sound of chain clanking and jangling as it’s being linked to topic. Securing chain. Long walk to door, open, close. Shift into first. Clutch, shift gear, slowly releasing clutch while applying gas. Engine dies. Depress clutch again, start engine, release clutch more slowly, apply gas more slowly. Chain ratting. Jerk of truck as chain grows taught and catches hold and begins to pull. Loud scraping sound of topic being dragged back into thread*
A Christmas message to fans is probably not going to come this year. While we’d all be pleased, MF is on sabbatical this year and I wouldn’t think—while I’m certain she’s grateful for the continued support—that it’s a high priority for her. If it happens, good, if not, I’m sure everybody understands.
Johanlarsson said on December 6, 2003 01:24:
To the subyect of Ted’s threed. If it is the correct person, I left a personal hurt thread on the differs forum about me and my a problem. Ted is the only person who write to me personally as a fellow Swede, he asks me if I want help. I am so happy that some people care, i cannot have any people say bad things for him. I still know not how I answer this good man!
Kiwein1 said on December 3, 2003 15:06:
She’ll be at home, give nice presents to her darlings, will have a big christmas meal, watching the snow fall and sing some christmas songs (-:
I don’t think we will get a message though I hope we would!
