Guitar question

Hi guys

I heard that there are software which will produce distortion and other effects as you play guitar (connected to your computer). I have done a few other things like Recording the Riffs and then applying Distortion/Wah-wah filters but ehh well wouldn’t it be great if there is a utility which can produce distortion (and other effects) as you PLAY the guitar?

I don’t have a processor and neither I have an electric guitar. My friend gave it to me so that I could play around with it and get the hang of this thing but sadly he couldn’t give the processor cuz u know he needs it all the time. Do you know any software which could produce the kind of results that I want?

It’s shareware.... but you could manage to.... you know ;)

Hey dude...i think you need some plugins as compressors..there you´ll get real effects for your guitars..dunno how u use to record it on yr pc..i use Soundforge 6.0 and i have great plugins as compressors...and..wow.. it sounds great...
