this picture, it might look like a tribune supporting the swedish national team

but not, it’s from my team Boca Juniors, and we are the champions of our national league!
and soon in a few weeks, we are gonna beat
italy Milan’s ass and be the champions of the world!!!

and that our colours are the same as Sweden’s flag is not coincidence... they’re the same because
Boca is a team from our port, and the founding people said “let the colours of the first ship that docks at our port be the colours of our team” and that ship... came to be a swedish ship.

Stupid question: what sport? I assume it’s football/soccer.

you assumed well :)

why exatly is soccer so popular..why any sport for that matter?

I’m not much of a sports fan really, but I get soccer. It’s easy to follow for one, there’s not a lot to confuse me. There’s a lot of bursts of excitement when goals are attempted and then someone scores, and it propels you to the next try. It gets involving.

When the World Cup comes around I’m glued to the television as much as I can be. I pick a team to root for, curse and cheer. . . I’m sure the fans from the other parts of the world, where soccer is IT could explain the allure better.

well, it’s a very simple sport... yet, at the same time... it has a nice amount of tactics and theory.

It can be played virtually everywhere, beach, mood, snow... and with no amount of money inverted in expensive gear and equipment.
There are players that have very stylish movements... and it’s not a brainless game.

I’m also amazed at the stamina ot the players who can run around for 45 minutes plus penalty time with very little resting time. I couldn’t do that.

There’s a funny scene in a movie where a guy is watching a football match, gets bored and starts flipping throught he chanels and when he get to the game again, they’ve scored and he gets mad at himself. I’ve done that more than once.
