Mazarin & World Music Awards Qs

Mazarin: Last report (late August) had it that “Mazarin” was nearing quadruple platinum - was just curious if it has eventually reached it by now?...
World Music Awards: Also I was wondering - did Roxette receive this award in any other occasion other than in 2000 (with “Have A Nice Day”) and this year (with “The Ballad Hits”)?...
Thank you. :)

TV channels only broadcast the performances. Roxette didn’t attend the show, so you won’t see or hear anything about them on TV.

no, in the UK they awarded some of the awards to the people who weren’t there....and just mentioned them.

Aftonbladet lists Mazarin as still being 3x. But who knows.

No you didn’t miss anything.
I watched the entire broadcast and there was no mention of Roxette.
My understanding is that TV stations around the world edit this broadcast to suit their individual auidences/markets.

@steven - thanks. I can’t belive that they had an award for best Dutch artist and mentioned that but not Scandinavian... not (before I get flamed) that there is anything wrong with a best Dutch Artist..I would have just thought Scandinavia is a more important area for World Music - after all after the UK and USA, Sweden is the biggest exporter of music.
oh well - nothing’s ever fair in this world eh?

Yes I agree, channel five’s choice of what to show the UK was questionable.
Although I really enjoyed the Italian female signer. I can’t remember her name, but she was a great performer and the song sounded ok (even though I didn’t understand a word)
The Spanish male singer was pants. His act was so cliched and uninspired.

Which reminds me, Channel Five showed the WMA last weekend in the UK - and I wacthed it all and I didn’t even hear them mention the award. But I fell asleep for about 10 mins - did I miss it then, or did they just skip that one?
