Just downloaded Fading Like A Flower (Modern Version) - Mixed by TOM , off http://www.roxbytes.com , got to say i think its one of the best remixes of roxette iv every heard. (just not to keep of the drum beat. real drums would be better) .
Thats the sound i would of thought roxtte would have in this day and age, really strong power songs with big Orchestral song mixed with technology . Not what i call the studio sound . ( sorry just my opinion )

I really like the remixes of “Wish I Could Fly”. All of them, but mostly the rnb version. The mixes of “Stars” are also quite good.

I have nothing against Remixes at all...
I love the ones for WICF, Stars (these one in particular) and also the Yoga Mix of the TCOTH (it makes the songs sound even more crazy and nonsense lol)
I am dying to hear the unreleased COY remixes

Spending My Time (electric dance version) is a personal favourite of mine.

Also great: Chances (dancehall version, dj cobra mix)

WICF remixes are brilliant... Todd Terry must work with roxette again.

In my opinion, Flaf (Modern Version) by Tom is really great (congratulations Tom!) and Chances (DJ Cobra Mix) is a very good mix, a real good one... But that’s just my opinion...
Keep O.N. Roxin’

Wow. I just downloaded “Fading Like A Flower (Modern Version)” by TOM. This is brilliant! Does anyone know exactly who this TOM person is? (I’m downloading the other mixes as I type).

I wouldn’t call it a remix, I mean Fading like a flower symphonic version...
but it is extremely good.

TOM is a Roxette fan from the Czech Republic who has made quite a few great remixes for ROXBYTES. Hopefully more are on the way ;-)

the thing about rox remices is they never manage to take the soul out of a song....the modern mix does just that don’t get me wrong the symphonic idea is great I imagine thats what it would have sounded like if they had ever done a night at the pops.
but honestly leave the power ballads alone :)

Remixes are rubbish - there’s a reason why a song is done the way it is in the first place...
RobS said on October 30, 2003 23:54:
i just downloaded them FLAF remix’s, i really like them, seem to fit the song very well.
I don’t really like mix’s that just add a DOOF DOOF drum track, they are really annoying (like some of the TCOTH mix’s), Fireworks (Jesus Jones) was really well done, SMT (Elec. Dance), try (poppyhead mix?) there’s quite a few others i just can’t remember them.

I downloaded Fading Like A Flower (Modern Version) and what can I say... It’s one of the best remixes I have ever heard!

About FLAF (Modern version) Why is it called this, shouldnt it be Le old orchestral version?
And is it just me or does that beat remind anybody else of Ace of Base’s “I saw the sign”?
