Joyride in Top 50 in German chart show

The Joyride album made a top 50 ranking in German album chart show on RTL television. I can’t remember the place exactly, but it must have been around 30 or so. (Number one was the Beatles’ blue album.) Some music expert (?) said quote: “Surely nothing for eternity, but really good pop.”

They showed some part of an interview, where the interviewer asked Per and Marie what their secret about having success is. Per said: “no drugs, only sex.” Marie grinned wide, looked at Per: “Yes, only sex.” Man, that was sooo funny..

Cool comment! I recorded the show on DVD, have to watch it today... Interesting fact is that Room Service did better than Look Sharp! probably because they only counted the top10. Nice anyway!

Marie replied to Per’s comment (“No drugs, just sex!”) with “... and beer!” I thought this was really great.
Kiwein1 said on September 9, 2003 10:14:
Oh I thought she said: yes, only sex...
Well, I just saw it once (-:
“yes, and beer” is quite better...*lol*

Per said in an interview that Joyride is the 3rd most sold album in germany ever....
“Tyskarna känner igen mig också. Joyride är den tredje bäst säljande plattan genom tiderna där.”
“Germans recognize me to. Joyride is the third best selling album there through all time.”

Well I know that Joyride was the most successfull album ever in Germany, out of the nordic countries. It sold more than 2 Million copies in Germany alone!

What? Hellooooooooo? HAND reaching higher than LS (their very first international album)???????? Now that is what i call a big surprise. Hand-haters will need a therapy after the heart-attack caused by this...lol

Interesting fact is that Michael Jackson’s always hyped “Thriller”, 55 million copies worldwide, sold no more than Joyride in Germany: 2 million!
Krischan said on September 11, 2003 08:26:
@sascha: Same thing with Madonna. She’s never sold that much records in Germany.
Michael Jackson, well... I’ve always considered his music to be crap.
