I really loved the ’Moulin Rouge’ soundtrack... both of them! And the soundtrack of ’Amelie’ is excellent aswell!

I love “Moulin Rouge” soundtrack too, but it is a musical, it’s supposed to have a good soundtrack.

yea you have had some fantastic soundtracks
i have lord of the rings on 2 lps from 1978
also xanadu/saturday night fever /grease/flashdance/tommy by the who /2001 a space odyssey and the film music from platoon is very good

I’m ashamed to admit it...but in recent times, my fave soundtrack is “tombraider”...(the first movie).
the soundtrack to “the last of the mohicans” is EXCELLENT.

Hey derek, I didn’t know there was a soundtrack of Lord of Rings from that time, isn’t the 2001 movie the first to be made?

Soundtracks from animated movies or tv series are good too. I love “Robotech” soundtrack.

This last weekend I watched a tv festival with some movies from 70’s and 80’s, and it remembered me the great soundtracks from those years. I really miss good soundtracks! I love movies with wonderful songs like Saturday night fever and Grease (70’s); Xanadu, Flashdance, Rocky, Top Gun, La Bamba or Dirty Dancing (80’s); and a short list from the 90’s like Pretty Woman (of course), Days of thunder, The bodyguard, Threesome and Batman Forever.
But in the last five years there isn’t any good soundtrack, at least that I remember.
