I had a discussion with someone,who i prefer to keep anonymous,about elephants!!!
I think they’re so cute, what do you think?? Fat or Cute?? :p
DaminehGessle said on August 9, 2003 05:13:
Are they muscular big or fatty big? I was just concerned :D
Some animals are big but of the muscular type!

why fat can’t be cute?...
fat was the beauty standar years ago...
it will be again some time in the future...
beauty don’t exist anyway, it’s just a socio-cultural/genetic illusion...
maybe for elephant females the fatter the male elephant is, the more sexy he is...

Damineh.they are both fat and muscular and i wouldnt like to get in there way to try and prove other wise

Elephants are muscular big, not fat... Animals don’t get ( / aren’t) fat in their natural environment (except the ones who live in the cold parts of the world... these just need the fatness to keep the warmth in their bodies). You get my point? - Only the humans get fat.
wendy said on August 9, 2003 20:33:
Ok,you’re right, fat=cute, but, this person ment fat in a bad way :’(
So,i go for............ CUTE :p
DaminehGessle said on August 10, 2003 01:41:
heehee
vooi
The legs may be muscular but not the belly hanging off an elephant :D
Yeah fat could be cute. I just think being fat means you can’t do things that an average person can. Activities I mean. I dislike thin more than fat but that’s just my opinion. There is nothing wrong with being fat. Humanity is what’s important which I think is lost in our societies these days. Be yourself.

wendy said on August 10, 2003 15:08:

wendy said on August 10, 2003 20:11:

EleFATs are cute yeah :p Also a little bit dangerous like derek already say, they can bring down a tree with a shove, and they deforestate almost as much as humans (exaggerating just a bit), cuz they need to eat a whole lot.

Mosquitoes aren’t exactly my friends though... You go camping and bam... you are scratching yourself for the next 2 weeks. I’m telling ya! I hate mosquito bites. I don’t bite them, why would they? :(

when the Mongols invaded Thailand they were met by an army with 2,000 armoured elephants. :)
a great picture I saw once in a surfing mag was a
guy from Indo crossing the ocean on an elephant.
all you could see above the surface was him sitting on the water and
the little trunk sticking up. below this giant actually swimming. :)
DaminehGessle said on August 11, 2003 02:20:
Yeah Wendy... actually one of my friends was bitten by mosquitos last weekend on our camping trip and later, the spot got red and swollen. She went to the doctor and was prescribed this very strong antibiotic as the mosquito bite had infected! Those little things can do a lot of damage my friend.
derek said on August 11, 2003 08:41:
well i must admit i dont like the Canadian mosquito or black fly i use to work in the bush in Ontario and they can realy bite you something mean. do you know that because of the mosquito two million people die each year compared to how many are killed by elephants maybe 30 per year. makes you think just how a small insect can do so much damage
Santi said on August 11, 2003 22:02:
@Sweet_stalker: I watched that of the man crossing the sea in elephant in the Lonely planet’s programme about Sri Lanka :D Wow, that was spectacular :D
derek said on August 13, 2003 10:34:
