is it allow to take a camera ino the concert?

I carried mine into the Halmstad show in just a small-ish black carry case, to be honest I think they were rushed and so didn’t bother searching ppls that well, also my case doesn’t look much like a camera case ...more like a bag really.

since i‘m going to the concert in jönköping i‘m just wondering if you can take a camera into the concert area. on the tickets there is a line saying this is not allow, but since some of you told about the pictures they made i start to wonder.
have you been using only pocket cameras?

thank you!

Even at the venue are big signs that you aren’ t allowed to bring a camera with you but EVERYONE in the first row in Halmstad had a small camera. I think it’ s only forbidden to bring “special” cameras and videocams with you.

In Helsingborg it was allowed to take in cameras. Nothing was forbidden to take in, not even beer and whine =)

my camera is not a professional one, just a standar one, with flash and a little of zoom, but it’s quite big because it’s old LOL

i don’t know what to do, because it seems on every gig happens a different thing... shall i bring my camera or buy a disposable one?

Well, it really depends on the security guys. I was at a Bryan Adams concert a few months ago, where the people I went with could get a camera in, however, one of my colleagues told me that he had to leave his Nokia 7650 outside (that mobile phone model has a built in camera). So I’m afraid there is no general rule to say what is allowed and what is not allowed to bring in. Well, usually they let in cheap cameras. My advice is not to take anything professional, big, or expensive. Buy a simple disposable camera (make sure to buy one that is designed to take pictures in a relatively dark environment, at most photo stores they can help you chosing the best model), and bring that with you. Very likely they won’t ask you to leave that outsite (you might try to hide it somewhere in your pocket or jacket), or if they still do, it’s not expensive to worry about.

Could easily take mine into Marie’s concert and Room Service Tour. I think the same as Pietro: as long it’s a small one (without zoom) they don’t mind. Regular 35mm camera’s are not good enough for professional pictures. And that’s what it’s all about...

do you know what happens if they find you any equipment (recorder, camera) is not allowed?

do the keep it and give it back to you after the gig?

Yep.

It is allowed to bring in small compact cameras, just as long as it does not have any big lenses or anything like the ones the proffessional fotographers use. For example, I had no trouble getting my Konica Z-up 120 VP in to the show in Halmstad... or any other concert either. And it is kind of big, since it ain’t that new. The zoom are 38-120mm.
