This is what Per said about “Stars” on TPH booklet:
“Stars was the most obvious ‘love it or hate it‘ Rox song.”

Definitely NOT a hate song.
It is one of the better songs on the HAND-album, but on the total Roxette-list it is more or less average.

anyway... i also found the song really weird due to its production too eletronic but in time i learned to love it just like that...i even adore the remixes and now i am totally blown by the way marie performs it live really rocks the block...the ballad live version is nice but for a real concert the uptempo is really the best choice....great to hear the crowd singing the chorus along side marie...it makes me wonder do you really hate this song? or were you just drunk already and decided to sing along? lol as i said it’s a polemic song but just let it be...it makes it even more popular among us all no matter if you love it or hate it....

It´s a great song. Marie shows that she´s got a really good voice. And personally I think that the Almighty-version is better than the album version.

I couldn’t believe it was a Roxette song when I first listened to it with a friend. We went totally crazy!. Now, he hates it, but it’s in my favourites’ list.
Don’t you find “Spegelboll” and “Make my head go pop” like bad tries of Per to make a “Stars”-like song?

I love it! It´s so different from roxette´s earlier (and later) hits. That doesn´t mean that I don´t like roxette´s more guitar and/or pianobased hits. It´s fun with variations. Other artists such as Madonna and Cher have also made more techno-like music for a change...
