Phew.... at last I have done something which I have wanted to do for many months....
I HAVE WRITTEN MY NOTICE FOR MY REALLY CRAPPY JOB AND I AM TO HAND IT IN TOMORROW!!! 4 WEEKS LEFT AND I FINISH ON 21ST AUGUST 2003!!!
I am so happy, went back to work today after 4 weeks of holidays. A lot of soul searching was done in this time. I returned to work today and within the first hour decided that it was the only way to go, quit and seach for something better...
I may be a little mad as I don’t have another job lined up at the moment, but there are plenty of job agencys where I live to tie me over!!!
I know I have made the right decision!!

And do not worry about not having another job lined up - it is a big step but it will work out for you.

I will never forget the look on my bosses face when I handed in my resignation! It was such a great feeling! It took me about a year to make that decision, now I wish I had done it sooner. I didnt have a job to go to either, I became a student again. My parents totaly understood, I’m sure yours will too.

congrats Ally its the best thing you could have done if you werent happy with your job why do it and as for telling your parents why is that a prob ? you had to do the work not your parents its your life and they should understand you wont have any prob finding other work i wish you the best of luck

I had to hand in my 3 weeks notice last week. 29th is going to be my last day at this company as a research assistant. I have to quit because my time is up and gotta get back to school on September 3rd! I am excited to go back to school but damn, summer went by so quickly. It was my first summer off of school since 1999. I’d been taking 6 courses every summer for the past few years. I’m going to miss Vancouver again. Well...
