I hardly ever close any threads, but I usually do it when there’s no need to continue discussion on that particular topic anymore - at least in this forum.

I can only speak for myself. I archive a thread when the topic has been emptied or if it’s absolutely irrelevant, of if more threads are opened about the same topic. Maybe LEO or Visa use other criteria. :)
