What you soccer lovers think?
The countries participating are:
Group A: France, Japan, New Zeland and Colombia
Group B: Brazil, Turkey, Cameroon and USA
Any bets?

France is a fake...
and brasil, they’re brasil... so my bet would be there.

Brazil will impress, I’m sure...we’ve got a brand new generation...
Pay attention to Brazil’s left wing...Gil, forward and Kleber left defender...they play for my team, Corinthians...hehehehe
And to the CF Luis Fabiano...he’s a striker...
Santi said on June 14, 2003 13:58:
TURKEY!!!!!!! :P
They have some of the best forwards in the best league in the world, Nihat Kavheci!!!! (who plays for my favourite team, Real Sociedad :p)

i think the french but watch out for cameroon they have some good players and turkey
Roxrider_USA said on June 14, 2003 18:47:
Brazil will get it!!!
@Tinytim: I prefer this new Brazilian team playing than the one who won the 2002 World Cup, don’t you agree with me?
I just wish Parreira would put Julio Cesar as the (starter) main goal keeper. Yep, i’m Flamenguista.
Carlos E., New York.
Santi said on June 14, 2003 19:38:
What do you think about Brazilians from Real Madrid getting permission to play the Spanish League?
Roxrider_USA said on June 14, 2003 19:57:
@Santi: What do you mean? You mean the brazilain palyers that play for Real Madrid that haven’t been chosen to play in the Conf. Cup ?
Carlos E., New York.
Santi said on June 14, 2003 20:16:
The brazilians in Real Madrid got a special permission from their federation for Real Madrid to try to win the league, a permission that Turkish players from Real Sociedad didn’t get.
Roxrider_USA said on June 14, 2003 21:41:
For Brazil it’s alright. No prob at all. Here in Brazil we don’t have to worry about players ’cause we have so many that the coach has a hard time choosing which ones to use in the team. We already have a new team with Pentacampeoes and new awesome players.
Brazil already beat Nigeria 3X0 with the new team after training only once before the match against Nigeria. :-)
So, i think it’s okay. Real Madrid needs them more at this time.
@Santi: Did you like this permission?
Carlos E., New York.
Roxrider_USA said on June 17, 2003 15:17:
I want Brazil to face France in the final, so we can do to them what they did to us in 1998. That’d make all brazilians feel so much better!!
Carlos E., New York.
Roxrider_USA said on June 19, 2003 20:56:
Hi!
So far:
New Zeland 0 X 3 Japan
France 1 X 0 Columbia.

Roxrider_USA said on June 20, 2003 17:48:
Buaaa!!
Brazil 0 X 1 Cameroon!
Brazil didn’t play well at all.
Carlos E., New York.
Santi said on June 20, 2003 20:47:
Maybe Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos are not so “expendable” as what you thought.
Santi said on June 21, 2003 20:19:
Cameroon 1 - Turkey 0 :(
Ok, but we already knew that Nihat and Tayfun are very important
By the way, now minute 62 in the other match:
USA 0 - Brazil 1
scored by Adriano.
Roxrider_USA said on June 22, 2003 23:40:
Colombia 1 X 0 Japan
France 5 X 0 New Zeland
Carlos E., New York.
Santi said on June 24, 2003 10:35:
Ok, Turkey left Brazil out with the 2 - 2 (At least Ronaldo won his first Spanish league...)
Now just 4 possible winners:
- Cameroon
- Colombia
- France
- Turkey
I still bet for Turkey!!!!!! :P
BET!!
Roxrider_USA said on June 24, 2003 18:53:
Brazil played horribly again. They only played well the las 10 minutes of the match. It’s crazy!!
I guess Brazil only play well when they want to, as in the World Cups. Seems like we only win World Cups now, lol!! Crazy!
Now i have to cheer for Cameroon!
Carlos E., New York.
Santi said on June 24, 2003 22:07:
I still think that it’s something that has to do with the players “chosen”.
Santi said on June 26, 2003 21:27:
Well, for the final, Cameroon and France are qualified.
Cameroon won 1 - 0 against Colombia and France 3 - 2 against Turkey.
How sad that of Marc Vivien Foe in the Cameroon match :( He died while playing :(((((((((((((( :’(
Aaso said on June 27, 2003 09:26:
oh yeah, Im so sorry for him (Marc Vivien Foe) *thx to Santi i didn’t know his name* ...
I have a friend in Cameroon and he was so upset last night! he said every people are crying in the streets ....
Vixzter said on June 27, 2003 16:31:
Total tragedy! How they can now expect Cameroon to come and a play a final is beyound me, all seems fairly pointless.
British tabloid media coverage of the incident is typicaly tasteless, these papers are a total disgrace as usual.
Roxrider_USA said on June 27, 2003 19:20:
I’m pretty sure that the title will be given to Cameroon to honor the player.
May he rest in peace. :-( .
@Mel: Te amo! Miss ya!
Carlos E., New York.
oshtay said on June 29, 2003 00:21:
Yep, have to agree with Vixzter - the papers here are an absolute disgrace. What other country would have large pics of a dying/dead person splashed all across their front page.
As a football fan I am so sad this week, especially as I saw it live on TV at the time. Such a tragedy.
Marc Vivien Foe rest in peace.

I’ll go with the French to win it.
