Mazarin - what you REALLY think of the snippets?

Write away - I will give you my proper opinions when I am not so busy.

I think the way you guys are talking about them makes it REALLY tempting to download them... but I will be good and wait (for once)!

@roxtexanet
i am truly impressed! i wish i had such selfcontrol..

i figured maybe i could stay away from them for a couple of days, but no way all the way till album release. so then i might as well download them right away.
i think it’s too bad though. i was kinda looking forward to hearing the songs for the first time when i had the cd in my hands. would have been much more fun going to the record store..

I’ve learned that I really like hearing the songs in their intended context... artists usually pick the order of the tracklisting very carefully so that they can unfold their album in a particular way to the listener. After I spoiled “Room Service” for myself by listening to all of the mp3’s from the CD in advance, I promised myself I’d hold off and wait until I had the real CD in hand before listening to it. But it’s hard... I’m particularly intrigued by “Spegelboll”... sounds like it’s right up my alley!

Artists don’t pick the order of songs, the master engineer (the one that does masterization) does.

eeeee telling truth i don’t like them :(( Tycker Om När Du Tar På Mig i good, Födelsedag is average, others are quite poor for me nothing special.... :(
@Rich-UK: this keyboard, it is the beginnig of tycker... ;)

I only heard the single and I don’t really like it. So supposing they try to pick the best to be a single I’m not really going to listen to the rest of them. I hoped he would do something in englisch, especially now roxfans will have to wait quite a long time for something new.
roxtexanet said on June 4, 2003 18:05:
@Santi: Yeah, that’s true, I remember reading that on a “masterer”’s homepage. As far as I understand, though, artists are often involved in the process, though, aren’t they?

I said I would edit so I may aswell now....
Remember I understand no Swedish
Har Kommar - this is cool, Ilike the simplicity and the back to basics approach. At first I HATED it and now it has infected my brain - it is really catchy.
Tycker Om Nar.... - this is okay - a bit predictable, but well arranged musically. I still like it.
Om du bara vill - the chorus is really well placed, an excellent song
fodelsedag - reminds me of ’70s GT. I really like this one. great guitars on it, good vocal harmonies. Great solo, simple but effective.
Pa promenade - got all the material for an instant hit - but not the best. Although even I can’t resist the ’sha la la...’ chorus
Spegelboll - this is definitely my least favourite.it still works, but only just. If it is a blondie rip intended at humour, then thats cool. Otherwise, its just a bit too blondie/new wave

Hej
I think the snippets are AMAZING... Per is the best.
The only song I don’t like at all is “Gungar”.
The best ones are “Spegelboll” (it’s the most insane song ever... it’s really wild) and “På Promenad Genom Stan” (which is for me one the best ballads ever done... the sha la la chorus is PERfect) !!! :)
Go Gessle Go !!! :) Mazarin Rules !!! :)
All the best
