Ok, leaving the small talk behind, and in shorter words, I’m wishing to put together a double CD for the hypothetical purpose of presenting to someone who knows Roxette only for the singles they have released, both the least known Roxette work, as well as the extra-Roxette works by Marie and Per. So I was wondering if anyone around might give me a hand on deciding the set of songs to include on such a compilation? Much appreciated! And please then pick 2 (except where otherwise indicated then please pick *2* songs: the *2* songs which you believe that show/represent the best each album in itself / the work of the artist / the artist in general) from each of the following:
“Pearls Of Passion” (excluding “Neverending Love”)
“Look Sharp!” (excluding the singles)
“Joyride” (excluding the singles)
“Tourism” (excluding the singles)
“Crash! Boom! Bang!” (excluding the singles)
“Have A Nice Day” (excluding the singles)
“Room Service” (excluding the singles)
“The Ballad Hits” bonus EP (excluding “See Me” // of the 3 other songs pick 1)

@ roxtexanet - you seem to have a solid knowledge of all things related to Roxette - do you actually have all of these albums? If so, how did you acquire them in Canada? Just wondering because I cannot find anything locally and have to order thru amazon. Thank you!

@Shane: Hey, thanks! I do actually have all of these albums, but I kind of picked them up along the way, mostly by ordering them from Sweden (anybody remember Roxport! ? It was an all-Roxette mailorder place in Sweden!). I’ve been a fan for a long time... I’ve ordered everything since “Den Standiga Resan” from various places in Sweden as they were released, which I think is a lot cheaper than buying them after they’ve been out for awhile. I did actually buy a few in Toronto, though, at the big Sam’s on Yonge St... I think they still have most of the GT and Marie CDs, and at one time they even had the Per box set! In any case, they’re quite expensive if you buy them that way... I think I paid about $33 each for the ones I bought. If you’re interested in buying them, I’d strongly recommend Skivhugget (as so many others here have said)... excellent service, very reasonable prices, and for those outside the EU (like us!), 20% off the listed price (pretty much covers postage). http://www.skivhugget.com and before anyone asks, I *don’t* work for them, I just think they’ve earned their excellent reputation.

Oh crap, how did I forget “TWATG”?! My favourite song on there is “Do You Wanna Be My Baby?” but they probably have that... so I’ll go with “I’ll Be Alright” instead.
