I’m not Per, last time I looked in the mirror I was female, hehe.
This is also a random avoid study topic. None of the names really seem to reflect his personality, asfar as I know. Keep guessing, oam
DaminehGessle said on May 24, 2003 18:36:
Balloon would be a good username?!? Something that’s got to do with balloons and train stations.
on_a_mission said on May 24, 2003 18:52:
@DG, why balloons and train stations? is there something I am missing?
wendy said on May 24, 2003 20:57:

on_a_mission said on May 24, 2003 21:38:

Santi said on May 24, 2003 21:46:

@per_andren, hi, in case you reply, sorry I dissed the hair! I can totally see this lasting a long, long time...

Per goes under the name of ......
I still have not got a clue......
powerpoplarry said on May 25, 2003 06:28:
At first, I thought it was “Gessle-ism”, as we were talking about Rox songs and “Gessle-ism” was saying stuff like, regarding LMS, “Thanks, I love that song too, I wanted to use that on HAND, too little guitars”, and clicking on the name, “no user information”, so I’m guessing Per is “Gessle-ism”...
Zaccharine said on May 25, 2003 10:11:

Jackeill said on May 25, 2003 13:40:

Damineh, I should be in the dark too, as I am in New York, and this contest is not shown at all on our shores, except on satellite TV, which I do not have.
The Eurovision Song Contest is like the American Idol of Europe, but the entries are all Euro countries, with a song/artist representing each country. Each song is sung only once, and the phone lines open up. The winner is the country with the most votes. Turns out people can’t vote for their own country, I think, based on the way the graph was set up on the site. And the winning country hosts the contest the following year.
I think it’s a cool contest, and some cool songs come out of it, but also a lot of cheese. Plus the act can choose to sing in either English or his or her native language. CD compilations come out every year of the finalist songs, as well as ones documenting its history (it’s been around since 1958 I think). A few American hits became of certain entries as well. The best-known winner was ABBA’s “Waterloo” in 1974, which broke them wide open worldwide, even in the US!!
This year’s winner is Turkey, in Sertab Erener’s “Anyway That I Can”, which is a great song, and I’ve been a Sertab fan for almost 2 years now. I just checked out all the 26 finalists, and my fave entries are: Malta, Slovenia, France, Greece, Ukraine, Germany, Romania, Iceland, Austria, Russia, Belgium and of course, Turkey!!
I didn’t find much cheese among these songs!! Check out the site Damineh...www.eurovision.tv, and let me know what you think, OK?? ;-) I’m curious...

Powerpoplarry!! A good European powerpop fan MUST HATE Eurovision!!!!!!!!!! :D
And for sure, even if you watched it you have to deny it to dead!!!! :DDDDDDD
on_a_mission said on May 26, 2003 14:58:
@wendy, thanx! that was a really nice thing to say! I have been in the off topic from time to time....it seems cool
About Eurovision
For all the people who do not receive this - u ain’t missin’ anything!! LOL, its like a circus of cheese, I’m not kidding...It is really good for a laugh though, best to watch it when your really, really, drunk!
have a good day everyone :)
StillFar said on May 26, 2003 18:26:
Powerpop: Eurovision has nothing to do with American Idol, it’s a very different competition. Besides, American Idol is coming from Europe ;)
powerpoplarry said on May 27, 2003 03:53:
Hey, Santi, I see what you are saying, as you have to go against the status quo, and most of the entries have the reputation of being cheese, and only the losers like it. But here in America, basically no one knows what it is, so it’s different here. AND, I have always loved checking out pop music from all foreign countries, and I love good catchy Europop music too, so for me, thsi stuff is great, if not a cool guilty pleasure. I’ve never followed the status quo OR snobby critics either. I just go by my own feelings, likes and openmindedness. I did hear some great stuff among the entries, and most of the girls participating were SOOOOO hot!!! I got burned when I touched the computer screen!! Fior me, the hottest girl was from Iceland...I don’t hate something cuz people tell me to, Santi. I’m openminded about anything I will probably like...maybe I would deny it if asked, just keep it to myself, maybe I would get drunk while watching it!! LOL!! Yes, StillFar, I know Eurovision is different from American Idol, but I was just using at as an analogy, that’s all, and yes, AI is mostly cheese...and yes I know it was based on POP Idol from the Uk and Europe.
on_a_mission said on May 27, 2003 19:46:
What? You mean you have eliminated me from the list of possible Pers...? I am disappointed ;)
wendy said on May 27, 2003 19:49:
yeah,i did
(actually,no,i didn’t,i’ve send a detective to follow you everywhere,but,shhhhhh,you can’t know :p )
on_a_mission said on May 27, 2003 20:37:
F***! Wendy! Who the hell is that in my bed?! Bloody detective!
LittleSpooky said on May 28, 2003 02:34:
Well, I know it’s not me. And a few others can attest to that too
DaminehGessle said on May 29, 2003 22:52:
Wendy would you please send me one of your detectives as well please? Thank you!
Larry oh! Well I don’t watch much TV. I work 9 hours a day and drive for 3 hours back and forth and ofcourse when I get home, I am so tired that I swim and go straight to bed. I watch FRIENDS and Discovery Channel only. Tennis I wouldn’t miss at all. I even tape all Tennis tournaments ;). But yeah apart from sports, I only watch FRIENDS. American Idol was good. Clay was a real artist I believe. I thought he’d win. Rubin was good too but hey I dunno Americans voted so ;)
They’ll air Canadian Idol in June. I believe Canadians are more beautiful than Americans and better bodies. So we’ll see how that goes. I don’t have a Canadian background so don’t think I said they were more beautiful just cause I am Canadian :D.
What I loved about American Idols was them showing the worst of the worsts. Oh my god! That guy who sang Madonna’s “Like a Virgin”. I was rolling on the floor as they were showing that aha ha ha haha.
I don’t know why everyone is looking for Per when he is sitting right beside me. Haha
on_a_mission said on May 24, 2003 17:22:
suppose this has been done, but it might get a few laughs....start guessing!
