I dont know if it is a stupid question, but anyway, I want to know when people talk about an album or a single, what do they mean with “a B-side”??

The B-side is the bonus song included on the single (bonus since you don’t find it on the album off which the single came out)... Or at least this is how I’ve always understood it myself... :P Like for example “Entering Your Heart” was the B-side for “The Centre Of The Heart”, or “Happy Together” the B-side to “Wish I Could Fly”, etc... Hope I explained it right? :)

Nowadays it’s more or less only a leftover from the times singles were released on vinyl - a b-side was simply the song(s) on side B - people just kept calling the “bonus songs” b-sides, even though there wasn’t one anymore...

Right. Missed to point out the parallel with the vinyl era. :P

b-sides.... side b of the vinyl.... guess the name just stuck... sound good don’t you think!!!

B-sides are just like what everyone said here ’bonus songs’ —> those songs that are not included in the album.
It’s a marketing scheme. For example, “Spending My Time” is included in an album, but it was also released as a single and if you buy that single there’s a song included called ’The Sweet Hello, The sad Goodbye” (which is not in the Joyride album). If you are really a “big” fan of Roxette you would buy the single even if you have the album so you could listen to the ’Sweet Hello’ song.

If they ever release the single here haha!

Or you can do like me and go to Halmstad to get the single just for that song :D Ok... I paid more than 150 SEK :/:|

Hey, I want ALL of Rox’s/Per solo/Marie solo/GT b-sides!!!! I have some of Rox’s, as they are bonus tracks on some CD reissues, but I want them all, not counting remixes....anyone here have em all??

@ powerpoplarry: Tried Marcus’ place already? [ http://www.roxservice.com ] Just have a check on the discography section. Should make a good kick start for your search I’m sure. :)

I never ever burn Roxette and Queen CDs. It’s disrespectful! I like to have the original ones! I was ashamed of myself when I burned the Roxette Unplugged CD for myself. It’s so unfortunate that North Americans don’t get to get them all :(.
