what do you think about "salvation"?
javi said on May 15, 2003 15:46:
I love, but I think it needs a litte more guitars.
Emil__BG said on May 15, 2003 16:37:
i like the song the way it is...-guitars..mm maybe in live performances...i don’t know if this fits to he song...
video–...there was the idea, but wasn’t realise good enough...i mean -you can’t see the joy of salvation in that video...if God brings us fish ,fruits and bread...he can brings sun in that glory day either:-)))
Kama said on May 15, 2003 19:49:
Great song. Agree little bit more guitars and would be really good :))) And video is nice, sometimes funny, you know the friuts is nothing :)) I;m laughing everytime when I see them with fishes :) That looks stupid :)) But I like it, it’s not very serious little bit with jokes and that’s o.k for me :))

I feel that Salvation is a typical HAND song (right after Anyone) and I pay less attention to this song when listening to the album. The video is lyrical and funny;))))

cool song.. but the video.. I had nightmares the first (and last!) time I saw it.. those fishes and fruit.. we just needed some more ducks :D

I like it, it’s a grower....I dig the middle 8 part when Per starts singing, love that the best. Yes, the video is amusing too...
onlywhenidream said on May 16, 2003 07:44:
love the song - but love the video more! Very ’talented mr ripley’ I thnk.
Ayara said on May 16, 2003 08:34:
One of my favorite songs. Loved it since the first time I heard it.

I love this song so much and its the one that got me into Roxette’s music. Marie’s voice, the instruments, that bit in the middle mmmm! It sends shivers down my spine!
tavo said on May 16, 2003 11:26:
i like the song but i think it is the lyrics that really catches my attention. it´s about a person whose life meant nothing until he/she found love. isn´t it what we all want to find in this life? at least “it´s everything I want from life”...
gessleism said on May 16, 2003 11:36:
I like it ... even the spanish version.
Not good choice as single, but anyway: nice song and nice and original video
coyboyusa said on May 16, 2003 15:14:
its one of their most overlooked songs I like it more that it must have been lunch
s-czopek said on May 16, 2003 21:45:
Not one of their most inspired ballads.
Not a patch on “Crash! Boom! Bang!”, “Anyone”, “Milk + Toast + Honey” or “A Thing About You”.
A little too “openly dramatic” for me...
Santi said on May 16, 2003 21:48:
For me it’s the best song in Have A Nice Day. I also like it more than “It must have been lunch but it’s over now” :D
Kiwein1 said on May 16, 2003 23:10:
Catchy lyrics, great video..!
When I got the single I always listened to all the tracks (See me and Crazy about you) and I did that for hours. I think that kind of saved my life. I mean it.
As someone said before: “It’s everything I want from life” is just a GREAT line.
chileanguy said on May 17, 2003 05:36:
where can i find the video clip of salvation in good quality?
infofarmer said on May 17, 2003 06:23:
@previous post:
On the DVD. You bet there’s no source with better quality, ’cause it was shot with some low-end equipment (in the style of a road trip clip).
As for salvation - it’s on the HAND album, so it’s one of the best roxette songs (IMHO).
coyboyusa said on May 17, 2003 15:55:
omg santi did we agree on something again :)
actually per agrees with us too :)
Stormkeeper said on May 23, 2003 23:14:
it´s ok but not brilliant if you ask me.
“Anyone” is much, much better and stronger.
bye bye
Jackie_Radiorox said on May 23, 2003 23:48:
Nice song, shit video... take out the Christmas Sleigh Bells and I’d be a happier camper.
Joyride007 said on May 24, 2003 07:16:
Ooo...It is very beautiful and successful song. My favourite part is where Per sing lonely. Yeah you are right, Anyone is stronger :-)
javi said on May 24, 2003 13:15:
it´s true, anyone, is best but I can´t understand why this song is forgotten, no radio no tv, it´s one of the best roxette´s songs.
hotblooder said on May 27, 2003 12:36:
The Great song but I’ll rather like a ballad transtition “Los Sientos”
Hey why all the ballad songs is translation by a spanish version...?? (I wonder about Run To You).
theedge said on May 27, 2003 15:55:
I don´t like this song at all (never shold be released as a single), and the video is pure science fiction, just horrible. Sorry for the fans of the song, that´s my opinion.
PiterPam said on May 27, 2003 21:37:
Really good song. But i don´t like the video. and anyone is to boring for me, but not the badest ive heard ;)

coyboyusa said on May 28, 2003 11:38:
i thoink anyone would have made for a great 50’s video with marie in big hair in a diner pining over a hunky football player or something, and salvation should have been a sequel to coyh with marie in a church with flashbacks of a woman meeting a stranger and falling in love with him
:)
Burke said on May 29, 2003 17:55:
well, I am glad that coyboy wasn’t the director. ;-)
Anyway, Salvation is a great song, but I never liked the intro. It is short of spoiling the whole song. Actually, this goes for the whole reccording. Ans it’s not that I am against electronically informed production - not at all. But the way Hand is produced just doesn’t make all that much sense to me.
girl7twenty7 said on June 1, 2003 11:48:
It’s one of the most emotional their songs, maybe a little bit boring. And parts sung by Per are great!
LaMan said on June 2, 2003 14:24:
very good
typical gessle
was it recorded in Swedish on his solo albums?
Zargo said on May 15, 2003 15:57:
I think it’s great, particularly the ’some will get broken etc’ part.
The part in the video where they’re holding fruit in front of themselves with very solemn faces is funny stuff too.
