Favourite ABBA songs

My dad, who is a fan of ABBA, just recently bought this DVD with all the ABBA’s video clips, and I watched them. I just remembered how nice their songs are. I like all their songs but “SOS” and “Super Trouper” are probably my favourites.
What about yours???

Summer Night City
SOS
Bang A Boomerang
Fernando
fave video: The Day Before You Came
favorite album: The Visitors (the last one)
I like girls´s solo stuff as well, my personal fav is Stand By My Side by Agnetha from 83. It´s stunning.
I have their Gold + More Gold VHS :p
I strongly dislike Super Trouper and Nina Pretty Ballerina; they are annoying ;)
I had a honor to see Frida live in ‘96 and she´s a real lady.
What a shame Dancing Queen was their only real hit in the USA.
It´s amazing how big they still are all over the world.
Their music is timeless!

lost-little-girl are you kidding? You must be very young or you´re just joking...
they were propably the biggest pop-group of the 70´s... and they are Swedish.
You don´t know Dancing Queen??

Oooh, I love ABBA. When I was growing up I thought that ABBA were old news– my parents listened to them, after all, but when ABBA Gold came out I became a Born Again (or is that Björn Again?) ABBA fan.
My favourite songs are:
Dancing Queen (this song evokes pure joy)
When I Kissed The Teacher
The Winner Takes It All
Mamma Mia
Does Your Mother Know?

Oh joy!! Me too, I LOOOOOOVE ABBA, and always will!! Benny + Bjorn are such pop geniuses. I love all their songs, but if I have to pick my 10 faves, they would be (this is very hard):

“When All Is Said + Done”
“The Day Before You Came”
“One Man One Woman”
“Does Your Mother Know”
“Two For The Price Of One”
“Our Last Summer”
“The Way Old Friends Do”
“Fernando”

Oh joy, Shane??!!?? You love “When All Is Said And Done” too?? ;-) Too bad the song is depressing lyrically, and not a happy song, but melodically + arrangement-wise, it is sheer genius.

one of us, lay all your love, hmmmm, chiquitita (why not, but it’s too high in sugar hehe)....
A few years ago, when i heard one of us for the first time i said “Wow, that bass player is reallly really good”.
and a few yrs later I saw an abba documental and benny i think, talked about the bass player that “recorded One of us”...... so he had to be GOOD to have a special mention in the documental :P
there are a few more but i can’t remember the names

Wow, I can’t believe how many of you like “The Day Before You Came”... that’s my favourite ABBA song, but it placed very last in a survey in a Swedish newspaper about 10 years ago with just one vote!!! I love all of the hits, too (except “I Have a Dream”... blech!), and some of the ’less-loved’ songs, like “Two For The Price of One”... I think ABBA are the only band from the seventies I can actually listen to (unless you count GT as being from the seventies...)!

Many people that likes Abba likes Boney M. too. I do. How about you?
