How "TBH" is doing in USA ?

Anyone knows if “The Ballad Hits” charted in USA ??

So I guess that means no chart position (even the lowest) on the Billboard ?

Well, for obvious reasons, it hasn’t charted on the Billboard 200. However, it would be interesting to know how much the album has sold so far - or each week since it’s been out.

It’s a pathetic situation really. Bubbles has it right, DARKAGE!! I’ll tell ya, I’ve never seen the US music scene so horrible EVER!! All the acts that are popular here, 99% are all terrible. I can’t relate to anyone I work with, and I am alone in my musical taste, except here on this board, and amongst a few openminded friends. NO ONE wants to take chances anymore on anything that’s GOOD, original, and poppy. US music sucks!!!! (For the most part) And I see no hope either for a turnaround: either hiphop (not my thing), lame punk/pop or nu-metal. No hope. :-(

Just take a look to the Billboard chart...
britney, Justin, Cristina “big head” Aguilera, bla bla bla

Britney hasn’t been charing lately. And Justin & Aguilera aren’t THAT hot either...It’s mainly the damned Eminem and his fellow 50 Cent (who’s very cool (to be from the M league)) who are bossing over. And hiphop in general. Nothing really agains it, though. :)

I mean, this is rare, I looked at the new chart, and of the top 100 songs, I like, MAYBE, 5, 10 tops!! The US scene is really bad!! Makes me want to up and move to Sweden, LOL!! Oh, and Brit sucks too, the only good thing was she worked with Swedes at first, so I’m actually more of a fan of Max Martin’s ability to write good pop songs. I’m not a huge Max fan, but I respect his talent, and that he is Swedish.

the whole music scene itself has been languishing for about a year..every major artists has had either mediocre albums or albums their labels decieed not to push. DOmestically here int he usa the record companies are desperate to recoup so called LOSSES due to digital music dl’s but honest its the quality of the music that’s gone sour. They are so use to huge 20million selling boy band albums that they don’t want to develop bands that have the potential of those sales maybe 3 yrs down the line its so upsetting

I agree with you - I really am not interested in much of the current hits in the US right now. I just assume I have finally gotten too old. All the songs seem to be formulated music - created to become #1’s - nothing seems to be real. Needs something fresh and different
powerpoplarry said on May 17, 2003 07:16:
Nah Shane, you haven’t gotten too old, you know me, I’m 35!! This is one scenario where the popular stuff has all gone bad. Our tastes stay the same, the music has changed. We just have to know where to look for the good stuff, that’s all, and these days, it’s either out of the country, online, or below the radar, or combinations of all three...

It’s so funny because I’m a huge fan of music. I remember 5 years ago I used to buy one record after another. Nowadays, it’s totally different. I’ve become EXTREMELY bored with the current music scene in the USA. There’s very little that’s released now that interests me. I can’t even stand to listen to radio stations in my area - all, but one.
So it’s time that record companies wake up and start investing in their established acts rather than investing in an act that lasts for the moment.
