*grins and whips out that New Kids On The Block CD* YAY!
And sad part, I still listen to it..
“Step by step.. Oooooooh babaaaaaay... gonna git to you guuuuuuurrrrrlll” *smile*
As for Ice Ice Baby, dunno if it is more embarassing that I have the MP3 and still listen to it or that I know all the lyrics by heart. My mind is funky!

David Hasselhoff! :DDDDDDDD oh my goodness
In fact he was a big star in Germany as a singer over 10 years ago :((
joyrider said on May 12, 2003 16:56:
yes and have to admit, that “LOOKING FOR FREEDOM” was also #1 in the US ... but it’s right, in germany, in austria and in switzerland he has been very big.

Lol, I have The Smurfs ’ I have a little puppy’ !
was my first ever cd I bought, and very very 90’s!
powerpoplarry said on May 13, 2003 00:39:
Actually, Wen, AQUA are AMAZING!!!!!!!!! “Aquarium” is one of the greatest pop debut albums ever made, just perfect, every song could be a perfect single!! My faves are: “Doctor Jones”, “Lollipop”, “Roses Are Red”, and “My Oh My”. Um, love “Turn Back Time” as well, bit dontcha think the melody rips off the Pet Shop Boys, “Being Boring”?? Listen closely. Oh goody, I heard they are reuniting, woohoo!! Um, I also love 2 other Danish dancepop groups: Daze + Toybox, awesome, fun and irresistible pop!!
Jackie_Radiorox said on May 13, 2003 04:41:
Oh and I have Don Johnson’s “Heartbeat”
And I was testing myself... I still remember all the lyrics to NKOTB. I need therapy LOL!
powerpoplarry said on May 13, 2003 05:02:
Um, Joyrider, David Hasslehoff never had any hits in the US!! People viewed him as a TV star only, and a laughingstock as a singer, LOL!!
Zaine!! The Smurfs??!!??!! I thought they died in the early 80s!! A CD from the 90s!! Jeez!! Is it as laughable as I think it is?? LOL!! From the title “I Have A Little Puppy”, sounds a bit TWEE at best.
And Jackie, I USED to have that Don Johnson album on VINYL, LOL!! Gatefold sleeve too. To be honest, “Heartbeat” is about as velveeta as music gets, BUT the followup “Heartache Away”?? THAT’s a good song, I’m serious!! I think Bonnie Raitt does harmony vocals on it; it’s a good country/rock song, along the lines of John Mellencamp. As for NKOTB, no you don’t need therapy, you need PSYCHOtherapy, LOL!!
As for me, what embarrassing/laughable CDs/LPs/tapes/singles do I have?? Hmmmm, lessee, I gave away Milli Vanilli, I sold Britney, Hanson are KILLER, LOVE that band, not laughable at all, I have some cartoon CDs but they are way cool, t.A.T.u. + Robbie Williams are excellent. Rick Springfield is awesome poweerpop. Maybe Billy Bob Thornton, but his music is good.
I hate to say it, I have nothing embarrassing in my collection!! If I did, it would be gone long ago...and if it was good, I would defend it.

Smurfs CD releases from the nineties are pretty common, at least in Europe :O
I remember the version of Gyllene Tider’s “Gå och fiska” called “Gå och smurfa” :D It’s better than the original :D (okok, it’s not, but is very funny!!! :D)
In Spain they were called “Pitufos Makineros” (Makina music -a kind of techno- smurfs). That was really emabarrasing, but I never bought it :D
coyboyusa said on May 14, 2003 22:24:

kiwijazza said on May 15, 2003 00:28:
I forgot this one...Alvin & The Chipmunks! An album called Born To Rock, where they cover some 80s classics, such as “Mony Mony”, “Faith”, “Walk Like An Egyptian”, and “La Bamba”. It’s so funny!
Oh yeah, and also my mother used to have a 45” of Rick Dees’ “Disco Duck”. Hehehehe.
Stormkeeper said on May 15, 2003 20:49:
Is Donny Osmond´s Christmas album
Christmas At Home embrassing? I am planning to buy it, you know very good price :p
Larry what do you think??
animalkingdom said on May 15, 2003 20:52:
Did somebody mention Jem & The Holograms? OOh, I would be a PROUD owner of that disc!
Come on - what’s on it? :D
Jud (moderator) said on May 15, 2003 21:23:
mmm I have some
New Kids On the Block (step 1.. lalaa step 2...)
Spice Girls (dooo you wanna be my lover..)
Aqua (I’m a barbie girl...)
Glen Medeiros (nooothing’s gonna change my love for you...)
Rick Astley (never gonna give u uup..)
but hell, I can’t say I am ashamed of those, not listening to them anymore, but I guess I got them by then cuz I liked it... and actually all of them are related to my life.. *getting melancolic** :P
Stormkeeper said on May 15, 2003 22:34:
I find that Glen Medeiros song both lovely and annoying...;)
coyboyusa said on May 16, 2003 15:40:
jem and the holograms aren’t embarrasing lol the ruled...lol my one friend thought they were roxette i was laughing hysterically
Stormkeeper said on May 16, 2003 22:39:
please @ larry answer my question and give your opinion.
thanks.
Jackie_Radiorox said on May 17, 2003 02:17:
I have like 4 CDs with every single Jem song fergot where I got it.
As for X-mas albums, I have Dolly’s! ;)
powerpoplarry said on May 17, 2003 06:37:
OOPS, sorry Storm!! I don’t have that Donny CD, but I heard it wasn’t bad. Lately, his music is more based on Broadway + pop standards, and people seem to like it, so sure, why not??
Me, as for Christmas CDs, the only one that comes to mind are: Hanson’s “Snowed In” and that “Jack Frost” soundtrack, which can serve as one. I also have lots of Christmas tunes dispersed all over my collection, and many acts just maybe recorded one Christmas song, and that’s it...
animalkingdom said on May 17, 2003 14:22:
@ Jackie
What do you ask for them?
And I am being serious ;)
Anarem said on May 17, 2003 14:29:
I have a couple of Mini-Pops albums, as well as Milli Vanilli. And M.C. Hammer’s “U Can’t Touch This”.
And Barbie’s version of “The Look”.
coyboyusa said on May 17, 2003 15:59:
the misfits were great ..the best was when both bands had to get along together to get out of a bind i forget the episode...there was also the episode where they were gonna have to close the starlight house and there was this girl who sang this song to an acoustic guitar called alone again it was such a sad song..i used to use jerrica and rio and pretent they were roxette my mom laughed about that
Stormkeeper said on May 17, 2003 16:27:
I don´t think Aqua or Eiffel 65 are embrassing at all. Pure pop music, what else can you ask for?
animalkingdom said on May 17, 2003 16:50:
I remember watching the show on...Eurosport or something..But back then I didn’t understand a word of English :( Later I found the two videos (Jem & Jem 2) that were, however, rather badly edited...
coy, what’s your fav song from each band?
Jackie_Radiorox said on May 17, 2003 18:13:
AK - they are CD-Rs... if you want Send me 4 CD-Rs and postage and I’ll burn them for you. I thinkI got them once on eBay.
It;s not like crystal clear quality, sounds like some of them were copied right off the show, but still. *smiles* Gotta love it! :D
I am hoping they put some of those shows back on Cartoon Net. or on DVD! Would be a trip.. I had a crush on Rio. *sighs*
Check this out - http://truly-outrageous.sweet-surrender.net/
It’s a Jem Site! YAY! ^_^
animalkingdom said on May 17, 2003 20:28:
Any way you could upload the songs? *looking hopeful* ;)
You know I once got the Rio doll and a Jem cassette for a present..It was cool - the cassette had one of my all-time favs: Deception :D
I really think somebody could have made lots of top-40 hits with those innocent pop tunes...They do beat most of the crap that was put out back then!
Shane said on May 12, 2003 03:29:
Me too.....Milli Vanilli.... and I still listen to it on occassion.
