I will go to a concert of Ilse de Lange on 23 may in Leeuwarden.
Maybe in June or so I will go to the “Goffert” in Nijmegen where some kinda Metal-festival will be hold. A friend of mine asked me some time ago, but don’t know yet if he already has tickets.
Reminds me to call him.
Jackie_Radiorox said on May 6, 2003 14:36:
Yay!! Evenessance tonight (which I neve spell right and never bother to see how it is spelled... lately my friend and I just say EV ;)).
I am getting tired of having to drive an hour or two up north for concerts though... No body good wants to come to Miami. :( Cept all the rappers, latinos and all the others I don’t care to see.
Speedo said on May 6, 2003 17:25:
Bon Jovi in June.
I’m really looking forward to it, cos I’ve never been to a Bon Jovi concert before!
Jackie_Radiorox said on May 6, 2003 18:25:
I saw them during the Crush tour...this time I couldn’t get the tickets on time *SOBS*!!!!!!!
pietROxette said on May 6, 2003 18:29:
Recently I’ve been to a Bryan Adams concert and I have to tell you it was brilliant! Actually I didn’t know that Bryan was such a funny guy, as he was joking all the time during the concert. He seemed to be very happy, and there was an excellent atmosphere in the stadium.
Vixzter said on May 6, 2003 18:40:
Bryan Adams is fantastic live! :)
Anyways.....so far this year I’ve only seen Def Leppard :(
Was supposed to go see The Vines last week but as I stuffed my ankle I couldn’t go :(
Wanna see (this year)
Bon Jovi
Linkin Park
Blink 182
Metallica
Bryan Adams (if he’s touring here)
Status Quo
If i can find the time and money LOL
Jackie_Radiorox said on May 6, 2003 19:26:
Bryan is a trip and a half! i saw him here with one of my friends.... last...December (2001) Twas really fun!
Jackie_Radiorox said on May 12, 2003 04:47:
*SIGHS!!!!!!* EV concert was changed to July 1st... And my friend and I drove all the way to Pompano, FL for nuthin’! Oh well, we had fun doing it though. ;)
Next concert coming up I think is the Red Hot Chili Pepers or Queensryche.

Since I´m living in Cologne it´s like paradise for concerts. I´m going to see a gig almost every week.
Last week I went to see Maria McKee and The Sounds (but that was cancelled).
This week it´s Blur and maybe Goldfrapp and Krezip.
Tonight is Massive Attack playing (got one ticket left!) and so on....
I´m sure, there is no other city in the world with this high density of concerts. Anyone disagrees? :-)
If there´s anyone around here who wants to join me, don´t hesitate to tell me. I´m always open for new “concert friends”.

The last concert I went to was Björn Again (one of the five incarnations currently touring)– they’re great!... but only if you like ABBA.
Twilight-Ghost said on May 15, 2003 14:37:
If I get the tickets, I might go to Avril Lavigne concert in June.
Stormkeeper said on May 15, 2003 19:57:
Björn Again still touring?
I like their remake of Flashdance... what a feeling.
Hi hi, I remember how Erasure made Abba-esque and Björn Again Erasure-esque... hehe...
Shane said on May 15, 2003 20:34:
I am a child of the 80’s - just got tickets for the Go Go’s and am now looking for tickets to Aerosmith/Kiss concert. I was not able to get Norah Jones tickets - go on a quick business trip and it is sold out by the time I get back.....
Anyone in Europe/Asia taken in the Bangles “Doll Revolution” concert? I am thinking about going to one of their concerts when they get to North America this summer but would like to know if it is good......
frab said on May 16, 2003 09:18:
hi Shane,
here´s the review from their Cologne concert.
http://www.laut.de/lauthals/reviews/b/bangles/20030410/index.htm
Unfortunately it´s in german :-(
It says that they are still good on stage and still looking good. The audience has become older and people prefered the older songs instead of the new ones. the gig lasted for about 110 min.
Decide for yourself. I didn´t want to see them but if you like what they do then get a ticket and you will have fun.
Frank
Shane said on May 16, 2003 15:23:
@Frab
Thank you for sending the review of the Bangles - now all I need to do is find someone to translate it. I know about a dozen German words and found a couple in the article......
I will probably go to the concert, regardless of what the reviews say - I just like to read them to know if I should have high expections or low expections
Have a nice day!
Jackie_Radiorox said on May 17, 2003 02:27:
Possible *new* addition to my list might be Ministry! :)

@ Vixzter:
When I saw Björn Again, it was the day after Russell Crowe’s wedding, and it was said that he had Björn Again perform at the reception. Strange, I thought, how did they get to Canada so fast? Then someone told me that there were 5 Björn Agains currently touring. :-)
The version of Björn Again I saw was fantastic, especially the Agnetha lookalike– she sounded exactly like the original!
@ Stormkeeper:
I heard Björn Again’s version of Erasure’s “A Little Respect” and that was a hoot! :-) They should really do more cover tunes... hopefully they’ll do Roxette one of these days. That would be keen!

Went to the Chili Peppers concert and was justnot happy. They were ok, not as good as I hoped they would be. but the concert Vibe wasn’t there. Could be that it was a Monday but still...
Next up ... Heart on the 24th. :)
harriej said on June 3, 2003 21:03:
Off course the releaseparty of Per’s new album in Halmstad next week.
21 june I go to Waldrock, a metal-festival in Burgum (NL), together with a friend of mine,
Vixzter said on June 3, 2003 21:33:
Have had to scrap all other concert going ventures due to Gessle!
Jackie_Radiorox said on June 3, 2003 23:11:
LOL! Poor Vix. come on over!! You can go with my buddy and I!
My major problem is the NEED for people to mosh at like every concert.... I mean the Chili Peppers are like SOOOO not moshing material... I really don’t see the need to bang your body into someone elses at full speed. Esp since the last heavy concert I went to about 6 people got pulled out of there with broken necks, legs, arms, clavicle... Don’t see the point really!
Next thing you know, people will be moshing to Roxette. :P
powerpoplarry said on June 4, 2003 07:18:
Wow, I actually don’t remember the last concert I attended!! Scary, cuz I used to go to sooo many, like sometimes 3 or 4 a week!! Now?? Zippo!! I would’ve gone to the Sounds/Raveonettes/Vue gig but it was yesterday, I had some things on my mind, like my passport arriving (and it did) + me losing my job, that I completely forgot to go!! DOH!!
Um, I know my friends the Everyothers are playing this Friday in the city, and I might go, and my friends Lava Baby are playing the night before I go to London, so the timing might be bad.
However, I DO know that the Saturday after I return, June 21st, I’m going to Six Flags Great Adventure, not just for the coasters, but for the cool concert that day in the park: an 80s blowout, with Missing Persons, Berlin and Animotion, WOOHOO!!
I’m probably going to see Ringo Starr in August, and some shows in the city inbetween, as well as probably Rick Springfield at Westbury Music Fair, another woohoo!!!
Jackie_Radiorox said on July 9, 2003 01:26:
AH, seems the list won’t end this year... Somehow I am winding up going to see Kiss and Aerosmith of which Saliva is “supposedly” opening for them! Very nifty!

I saw Alanis Morissette yesterday in Cologne, but I didn’t appreciate it that much.
The show was ok, the audience too..but though I didn’t like it.
Rich-UK said on July 9, 2003 16:10:
I saw REM at Brixton Academy in London a couple of weeks ago - I very impressed with Stipe’s performance and voice and the band was tight too.
I heard that they rehearsed 70 songs for the tour - they played 23 songs when I saw them - I saw the set-list for the concert they did the next night and there were loads of different songs - quite impressive really although it does mean that you can miss some favourite, for example they didn’t play Kenneth when I saw them but did the next night.
A class act for sure - Rich-UK
Kiwein1 said on July 9, 2003 16:48:
@Rich: I think it speaks for the quality of REM that they change their tracklist..I hope you enjoyed the concert! I would like to see REM, too.
Alanis played four completely new songs, that have never been on any album..so the audience was totally surprised.
And she danced like crazy during “You learn”..so much that she fell on the stage..and she had a big smile on her face as she stood up again. Sweet.
Vixzter said on July 10, 2003 05:58:
@Rich: Its like so many quality bands that have been around for ages.....they have too many songs to perform.
When I saw Def Leppard back in february they didn’t play Love Bites! I’m still distraught! ;)
Vixzter said on November 21, 2003 18:03:
I’m gonna see Status Quo tonight! woo hoo! and Linkin Park on monday :-)
Vixzter said on November 25, 2003 06:53:

Could’ve sworn I replied to a similar thread some time ago. . .
I’m going to see Annie Lennox and Sting on 24 July. And the truly embarrassing part: this will be the first actual concert I will ever have been to. (Of course, this means I’ll be swallowed up in a tornado or some other misadventure between now and then.)

Anyone going to any good concerts? My friend Betty and I are starting the J and B Concert Tour this year...
It stared a couple ofmonths ago with Scorpions. Last Friday we had this huge USO Salute To the Troops thing (Godsmack, Saliva, 3 Doors Down, Trapt, American Hi-FI, and a few others that my brain can’t access were there.) Sunday we saw Def Leppard (and got SOAKED cos well it pours in Florida nearly all of the time. :P)
On Tuesday we’re gonna see Evenessance.
Sometime in June - Queensryche, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Heart
July - Summer Sanitarium (MEtallica, Linkin Park)
August - Poison and maybe Ozzfest.
Yea, we are a little bored this year. It’s actually the first time that so many bands I dig are coming.
