Will Per's new "Cake" only be released in Sweden?
TheBitterOne said on May 2, 2003 07:28:
Or is there any chance that I’ll be able to buy it in German CD-Shops, too?
Would be great ’cos to get CD’s via internet is always so “complicated” without credit card... ;o)

I think WOM should have this, too.
Because WOM have many CD´s to import and sell this. I have there buy many from my swedish CD´s from Marie, Per and Gyllene Tider. The CD´s are sorts by Roxette. ;-)

tevensso, are you sure? How it can be possible? I mean, every GT, Per, Marie album has released in Finland since 1980. Why not now?
Vixzter said on May 2, 2003 11:18:
was it released or was it just imported? ....its not like its got far to go to be imported.
tevensso (moderator) said on May 2, 2003 11:27:
OK, Finland is probably an exception, maybe even Norway and Denmark. But that’s just normal. Let’s say that it will be released in the same countries GT’s CDs always are released?
Jud (moderator) said on May 2, 2003 11:28:
yeah.. most or many Swedish artists (who sing in Swedish) release their album in these Scandinavian countries + Finland. Tomas Ledin, Eva Dahlgren, GT...
Jud (moderator) said on May 2, 2003 11:43:
I think it’s a nordic country but not Scandinavian. At least that’s what I was taught and if i would like to study “Skandinavistik” at the university... I wouldn’t study any Finnish author / history/ language :P
anyway, whatever, just those countries will see the album released :P
roxeteer (moderator) said on May 2, 2003 11:48:
It’s not all that clear. In my opinion Finland is NOT a Scandinavian country, because Scandinavia is the peninsula where Sweden and Norway (and Denmark) are located.
Per Westerlund has written a very funny Usenet article about this: http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=PERW.93Nov15184248%40elixir.elixir....

Finland is not a scandinavian country....
I looked it up in a book... Scandinavia is Sweden, Norway and Denmark
LittleGirl78 said on May 2, 2003 13:00:
I have ever thought that scandinavian is Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland.
I have make Scandinavian bigger.
Because on Grand Prix de Eurovision have they anytime say that this all are scandinavian and vote ever for each other and get ever points from each other.
OK. But I think if this write a book that scandinavian are only 3 countries then I think is this correct.

Finland is NOT part of Scandinavia.
Actually it’s not clear which Swedish solo album is released outside of Sweden. I know for sure that some of Marie’s Swedish solo stuff has been released officially here in Hungary by EMI Quint, both on CD and on cassette. I’m not sure about Per’s CDs, I only know that TWATG was released here - but that’s in English.
Ferdan said on May 2, 2003 17:34:
Marie’s swedish albums were avaible for some time in the biggest musics store of argentina, Musimundo.... and it has no section of “imported” music.
It was weird, i should investigate why they were avaible.

@ Vixter... your a star thanx for the address.... I would have ordered it from the fanclub but don’t know how long it would have took!!
Still thinking of flying over on 20/06/02 just to buy it.... I need a holiday!!
Starrox said on May 2, 2003 18:31:
IIRC, both IETSV and Återtaget were released officially in Germany as they were both in the list with new albums the weeks they came out... I don’t know about DSR and Per’s first two solo albums for sure, but as I used to see them in quite a lot of shops, I guess they were released here, too - so there’s a slight chance we’ll get Mazarin, too!

the nordic countries are norway, sweden, denmark, iceland and finland.... but that’s not the same as scandinavia, people always mix them up.... my family also was surprised when I told them Finlanf doesn’t belong to Scandinavia.... And we live in Sweden, so I don’t blame non Swedes for mixing them....
Santi said on May 2, 2003 23:50:
Scandinavia is Norway and Sweden. Iceland and Denmark are closely related to them historically, in languages and ethnically. Finland is also very related to Scandinavia historically (not at all their language), but as well as Denmark and Iceland does not belong to the peninsula that Scandinavia is (as seen by a geographer, myself, who has also been living in Sweden).
LittleGirl78 said on May 3, 2003 07:27:
ahhh, daniel thank you for explain this.
Because I have mix up this, I have know that Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland are in the Nordic and I have thought that all are Scandinavian. But this is an difference between Nordic Country and Scandinavian. This I never know, thank you.
daniel_alv said on May 3, 2003 13:54:
The mountains between sweden and norway is called “Skanderna”
Finland has belonged to Sweden, and also Norway.... “Skåne” in the south of Sweden has belonged to Denmark.... In Finland many people understand swedish....
I don’t know why, but Denmark is a scandinavian country....

Media Markt should get it, cause they also had the swedish Marie-Cd’s. If not, you can order them in a recordshop, if you have the serial number. Another thing: Maybe you know someone in Sweden who can buy it for you and then send it? Or you travel to Sweden..;))
