what is your most precious roxette-item?
rainbeau said on April 30, 2003 23:32:
the favourite items of my roxette collection are my vinyl-records, i love them all! i’m always looking for new stuff and in fact i’m very proud of it.
what about you out there? do you collect hard to find roxette- items?
powerpoplarry said on May 1, 2003 05:30:
Maybe either my autographed Rox/Per CDs, but also my Per GUITAR PICK!! It’s brown + swirly, and one side in ingrained in gold lettering: “P.G. Roxette” and the other says “Cash Boom Bank”!! LOL!!

I’ve got 4 precious items. Mainly because they’re either very rare, or were imports:
————————–
Tourism - double LP (two 12” vinyls with a cover, which has more pictures than the CD)
The Look - 12” single (with Head-Drum Mix, 7” version, and Silver Blue demo)
Pearls Of Passion - 1997 version (I’ve never seen it on New Zealand shelves before, it was imported for me)
Baladas en Español - as far as I know, this was never released here, but I was lucky enough to find a copy on the shelves at a CD shop here.
The Ballad Hits - with EP (this is precious to me for the EP, mostly)
——————–
I guess when an opportunity nox, you gotta take it. ;)

My eight awards ;) ...Still searching for more, though... Collecting is a crazy thing!
Vixzter said on May 1, 2003 08:08:
I have 4 most precious....the rest are just precious :)
1. A pair of Pers jeans (won in a competition by my friend who later gave them to me) signed by Per :)
2. The Strul ep signed by Marie :)
3. Look Sharp Picture LP ( it took me ages to find one that wasn’t over priced and when I finaly did I looked at it for 3 weeks not believing I’d got one!)
4. My Look Sharp vest (like Marie wore in the Dangerous vid, won in an auction)
Wish I still had my white guitar pick :( my brother lost it!
It used to say ’Per Gessle - Roxette’ on the front and on the back it said ’Art for me is just short for Arthur’.
Everything else is very dear to me....just not as precious. ;)
@krissie: hey long time no see!! how are ya?
Stormkeeper said on May 1, 2003 09:08:
do you guys miss vinyl LP´s?
Would you still buy them if theyre available?
Their sound is cool. Softer than cd.
rainbeau said on May 1, 2003 09:32:
to stormkeeper,
for sure i would still buy vinyl - records. they’re fascinating for me, i love the cover with big pictures and all the vinyl reminds me of the old roxette - times that i personally prefer.
one item that i also love is my LS! picture cd, that i got second hand for just € 5,- , it’s unbelivable because the item is quite rare and everywhere i see it, it´s so expensive.
i also love my fanclub magazines from the early times in 1989-...
for me older roxette- things are more precious, because the’re rare, deleted and hard to find

I LOVE vinyl, and I love collecting! Wish I didn’t have rent to pay... cuts into my collecting! :-D
All my most precious items are vinyl... in no particular order:
1) MaMas Barn test press LP
2) Canadian “POP” LP
3) Canadian “Soul Deep” 12”
4) Strul single, signed by Marie and Martin
5) “Silver I Din Hand” single, from a good friend who knew I’d never find the damned thing! Thanks, Simon!
I’m glad to see there are others who share my appreciation for vinyl... wish they still made Roxette records ):
Jud (moderator) said on May 1, 2003 14:32:
mmm the first collection item I got was Peter pop and the helicopters single. It was my first visit to a record fair and that guy had a whole section with Roxette stuff. I saw that weird band name - had never heard of it before (it was 93 i think) and I just bought it for dunno, 20 euro?
So this has a special meaning, because it was the first “rare” item I got :)
Then ... the page of my Sweden-trips diary where Eva Dahlgren wrote some special dedication in Leksand 1999. Next year I met MF there, in Leksand, and she signed on that page too.
The Wish I could fly US single I got from a special friend :)
I guess that’s all... until i come up with sth else :P
Stormkeeper said on May 1, 2003 15:26:
roxtexanet you found Mamas Barn LP in Canada? Umbelievable if u did :)
funny some of the youngest fans maybe doesnt even know what vinyl´s are... :D
roxtexanet said on May 1, 2003 15:28:
@Stormkeeper: Oh God, no! I won it in an auction in Sweden. I didn’t find the Canadian vinyl here in Canada either... I got one from Sweden and bought the other in New York!!
@Judith: 20 euro for the Peter Pop single?!!?!? I think I paid well over 100 in 1993... would be a lot less now... ):

I’m really proud of my vinyl stuff, esp. of Marie, for example: “den ständiga resan” LP :-)
Than I’m really proud of my promo stand up from Marie’s album “IETSV”, it’s the CD in ca. 70 X 70 cm. :-)
I bought it in Sweden, huu! You can’t imagine what a problem it was to get this big stand up from Sweden to my home by train. LOL!
Than of course I’m really, really proud of my autographs with and without dedication and... my picture with Marie which has an special place in my appartment. :-)

Basically, the whole roxette-collection.
I guess things which are not (easy) to get anymore. Things I can buy again are less painful to loose, but things which can’t be replaced will be missed most.
