problems with your boyfriend/girlfriend because you’ve told him/her too much about the fanthastic band Roxette is? Or simply he or she has got bored because they’re not as fan as you are and are not interested in Roxette?

WELL , i have no girlfriend now (i am 24 in 2 days , travelling in S.A) , but i guess that good friends / girlfriends/boyfriends , will share evrything including our best heros and so on......
i can say that i succeded to influence my last girlfriend to hear roxette (well she didt have any other choice :)) and she liked them and started to hear their songs too.
i think that people just not AWARE to roxette songs , and by your inspiration , thay can know and like them.
by the way , in south america i hear all the time roxette music , if in english or spanish (balladas en español) , from apartmets windows , cars , restaurants , ....and thats so great!!.

Yes, I had some problems with my boyfriend cause of Roxette at the beginning of our relationship, but esp. cause of Marie.
First I didn’t dare to tell him what I’m feeling for Marie, you know i’m a girl..
But with the time he began to notice that I like her more and he said one day:” You love her I’m right?”
I’m sure my face began to get red like a tomatoe and said:” What?! What an nonsense.”
Than some days later (or weeks? I don’t know anymore) he wanted to speak about it again and told me that he has absolutly no problem with it.
You can’t imagine how lucky I’m about it now, for the first time in my life I could talk with someone about it.
... until today he’s the only one who knows about my feelings for Marie.

Dan: What was that song that Roxette sang many years ago with a colourful video?
Me: Depends what era you are talking about, 90’s 80’s was it Joyride? - most people know this as well as IMHBL?
Dan: Sing a bit.....so I shall know if it is the one I am thinking of...
Me: (hums a few bars of Joyride and write lyrics down cause don’t wish to sing it) IT IS A CALL CENTRE!
Dan: (After reading lyrics to Joyride decides this is not the one he is thinking of) No not, that something else, sing something for me??
Me: Suggest a few more and I offer Dan a homemade CD of a few of there hits which I shall bring in on Friday!
Dan: He accepts and the next day discovers it was The Big L.......... I certainly would not have expected him to know this as a Roxette song!
Then a massive debates errupts about Run To You and if Roxette’s version is like Bryan Adams song.... several other people join in.......
I don’t mind people talking about them but can get quite defensive which they start to slag them off......

not really, my mates think Im a bit wierd but they try to give it a chance. I think they like it really and a few of them don’t mind saying they like rox. It’s only when I talk about it constantly through lunch and cover my books in lyrics and quotes that they worry!
My ex hated roxette and wouldn’t give them a chance. In the end we split, I think because he got so bored of me and I got frustrated with him.
But meant I met Luke and he is so perfect x x

My wife is not a fan and she does get annoyed sometimes listening to the rox songs for the 1000000th time... but she also likes some rox songs... so it could be worse! lol
But I never talk about roxette at work or when I am out and about with friends... I mean how stupid would that be?? I think little kids or teenagers discuss their fav groups A LOT, so I am a bit too old for that, I would feel stupid...

Then again, I know of a few guys that are jealous and tell me so. One of my friends is a Rox fan and he goes “Dunno... First I’d shake PG’s hand and then slug him for you liking him so much.” Then again, this was afer I did the GGs first time around and all of us girls were hiding in our own private room on IRC. LOL!
